They seem to breed all sorts of evil in our lives. And so humility is gonna be necessary that we humble ourselves before God, allow him to guide us and direct us and what he says to be true.”

And so the only way for you to gain power and control in the situation was to hold anger and unforgiveness against them. That's not hurting them. They're three states away or they passed away twenty years ago. It's not hurting them, but you're holding on to it because it makes you feel powerful. Maybe one of the agreements that we've decided is if I forgive them, then it's somehow giving license to what they did. It's saying that what they did was okay. That's not what forgiveness is. That didn't mean that what they did was okay. It just means you're not gonna let it poison your life anymore.”
