#LivingWordNow
“So it's not just history. It's not just information, but it's active. It's living. It's a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Hebrew but Hebrews four tells us that it's not just history. It's not just information. He says it's alive. It's active. That means the bible is not just a record of what god once said, but god is still saying, lord, have mercy. Just god is still saying what he's always said. Amen. Love your enemies. Yes, sir. Do good to them that despitefully use you. Turn the other cheek. Go the extra miles. God is still speaking. The word of god is living. The word of god is powerful, but the word of god is personal.”

#ScriptureForms
“When life gets dark and uncertain, the word of god gives us life, light. It gives us light for the next step and wisdom for the path ahead. It does not remove every question, but it gives us enough truth, right, to just keep on walking with god because these spiritual rhythms, prayer, and reading the bible, it gives us enough insight to just keep walking with God. So today, we're gonna look at three ways scriptures scripture forms us. The first way is God word speaks to us. Everybody say speak. The second is God's word anchors us in truth. Everybody say anchors. the third way is God's word transforms us from the inside out. Everybody say transform.”

#ScriptureHeals
“Fear says, for instance, I'm alone, but the scripture reminds us, God is with me. Shame says, I am what I did. Scripture says, in Christ, I'm forgiven. I wish y'all would help me, and I'm made new. Amen. Anxiety says this is out of control. I'm gonna lose my mind. I ought to take my life. But scripture reminds us that God is still sovereign. Scripture reminds us that even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we don't have to fear any evil. You see the interpretations change and therefore our behavior changes. You guys come on up. I love it because reading the bible is not just about learning about God, it's about being formed by God. As we spend time in scripture, something begins to shift in our lives. Our thoughts become clearer. Our attitudes begin to change. Our desires begin to align with his.”

#ReframeWithScripture
“He renews our minds through his words so we can begin to think, feel, live more like Jesus. There's a last psychological term called cognitive reappraisal. It's similar to the first one we went over, but it's a little different. Cognitive reappraisal is the process of changing how we interpret a situation, which can alter our emotions and then ultimately change our behaviors. In simple terms, when the meaning changes, the response changes. example, two people can receive the same correction. One hears, I'm a failure, while the other one hears, god is helping me grow. Same moment, different interpretation, different response. That is the part of what scripture does in us. God's word help us reinterpret life through faith and truth.”
