#ServeBeyondGifts
“Just because something is not your spiritual gift does not mean that it's not your Christian responsibility. Let me say that again. Just because something is not your spiritual gift does not mean it's not your Christian responsibility. We're all called to be hospitable. We're all called to be generous. We're we're we're all called to lead others and to speak the truth and to pray and be merciful to others. But there are some people who are particularly gifted at these things. And it takes humility for us to do menial tasks for the glory of God. It takes humility to acknowledge my gifting and to serve in the ways that I'm uniquely wired to.”

#StopOverfunctioning
“Right? And if one part overfunctions, a couple of things happen. One is that that part's gonna overheat, and then it's gonna burn out. And then the other thing is that that overfunctioning part is going to prevent someone else from playing their part and from exercising their gift. If if you don't hear anything today, just hear this, that you have to realize that your frustration is somebody else's gift. Amen.”

#GiftsToServe
“This isn't some self help message. This is not some self actualization sermon. God has given you spiritual gifts to serve others, to help build up the body of Christ. We are stewards of God's grace, of God's gifts and God's grace. We are one body with with many parts. Some of us are hands, some of us are feet, some of us are eyes, some of us are ears. But there's one position that none of us gets to occupy. You know what that is? That's the head. Because scripture says that Jesus is the head of the church. He's the head of the church. And so that's good news because it means that we don't have to do everything.”
