The kingdom of heaven, Jesus says, is like a man traveling who entrusts his goods to his servants so that what is placed in their hands grows, not sits. That parable sets the rhythm: the Master gives, the servants receive, and the return to the Master proves whether trust turned into fruit. The text walks everyone past excuses into stewardship. Spiritual fathering takes its cue from that. Scripture says there are not many fathers, so fathering becomes investment, not image. The failure is not in the criminal; the failure is in the church when prison ministry is treated like somebody else’s job. Every church ought to have a prison ministry, because the Master keeps entrusting talents to servants in forgotten fields.
