#BodyAsWorship
“``And how we treat this body can either glorify god or can actually grieve the holy spirit because he's in us. It's it's it's amazing. I I I every time I think about it, it's just amazing. So taking care of your body is actually a spiritual thing. You guys are gonna think, oh, we're just coming up here doing a self help thing up here. No. This is a spiritual act. Romans 12 says, talks about that. This is your to to to present your bodies as a living sacrifice. This is a spiritual act. Taking care of your body is a spiritual act.”

#PurposeDrivenHealth
“It's important that we understand how to define health and wellness, especially in this day and age because we don't define health as a number on a scale or the way you look or how much you can bench press. We define it as can our physical bodies walk in our god given purpose. And if our physical bodies are holding us back, then we need to take a step back and ask the lord. And these are where the pillars really help as a framework to figure out, okay. What what do I need to do, to be able to walk in my purpose?”

#FaithFirstFitness
“With this verse, this verse sets a stage about priorities. It's not an either or statement. It's not saying physical exercise or godliness. It's putting in order priorities. Godliness is first, always. God first in everything we do. And then after that, there are some other priorities that we implement in our lives, all the things that we've been talking about, up here today. So, with that, with exercise, it can become an idol. It can become an issue of vanity, but it doesn't have to. It's where your focus is when you're working out, putting god first. That's kind of the theme around everything we're talking about today is inviting god first into every aspect of your life, including your health, including your exercise and your workouts.”

#BodyForGodsGlory
“engaging with the Lord and seeing how do you want me to use this? These are my loaves and fishes. This is my body. This is my health. This is my situation. How do you want me to use this? Recognizing that it's not for my body. It's the loaves and fishes are not the end goal. God being glorified is the end goal. When you think about it that way, things start to come into focus.”

#ConsistencyOverIntensity
“regardless of where your fitness level is. So first, consistency over intensity, and this can be applied to any of the things we're talking about today. Faithfulness in little things over time beats intense bursts all at once. That applies to the eight things Julie talked about. That applies to the six pillars. If you try to overhaul everything at once, you're gonna burn yourself out. Start with one thing, implement it in your life, make it part of make it a habit, make it part of your routine, and then add another thing. Add another thing. And that's how you build start changing your life over time versus everything all at once.”

#AskGodFirst
“Yeah. And and I wanna just close with reminding us it's really easy to turn off your discernment when it comes to your physical health. Something happens to your body and you go and defer, you know, any wisdom to the doctor, to your friend, or to That's good. AI or social media. We have the lord to guide us. He gives us instruction. So ask him. What lord, why do I have a headache? And he'll help guide you. We're not alone. If you feel like your body's betraying you, it's not. Ask him.”

#IngredientsMatter
“will help you increase the nutrient density of the food you eat. Okay? So the idea is you don't need to go on some crazy extreme diet. You don't need to stop eating the foods that you love. Okay? But you need to pay attention to the ingredients that are used within those. Okay? Because as we change the individual ingredients, the foods that we do eat are more coming from nature the way God intended, and they're meant to nourish our bodies.”

#HolisticPillars
“But then where I work are the pillars, and there's six of them. And you can see them up there. So that's your sleep, your hydration, your nutrition, your movement, your toxin management or trying to get toxins out, and relationships. And these all work together. We can't isolate them. We can't build one up without focusing on the other one. We can't act we can't focus hyperfocus on one and leave the others out. But we have to remember why we're working on these and why we take care of them. Because if we just focus on those pillars, if we eat right, if we sleep well, but we don't really have a reason, it kinda goes to nowhere land because we have to be holding something up. And what we're holding some what our why we take care of our physical bodies is to hold up our purpose.”
