#CovenantLoveNotContract
“``And our conviction is not like the world which is contractual, but our love flows out of God's covenant to us. See, contractual love is each person does their part, and as long as they do their part, this will work out. See, the reason why people leave you, the reason why people betray you can I tell you why? If you've ever been betrayed before, which is a painful experience that God does not overlook, the reason you're betrayed is not because you are no longer lovable, it's because you are no longer useful. Once you become useless, you're expendable, But that's not the way God loves. God loves you by willing to lay down his own life. His son willing to lay down his own life, willing to lay down his rights. That's the love that we embody. That's the love we express because we've experienced it. And you may not always understand, but if you would learn to walk in obedience, the understanding will come. This is what Jesus is saying, obey first, understanding second.”

#HolySpiritIndwellsForever
“``Now this is an astounding promise to the disciples. See up until this point, the Holy Spirit only ever came in the Old Testament at a specific time to a specific people or person for a specific purpose and it was always temporary. But now Jesus is saying the Holy Spirit is going to fall, is going to come to you. You have seen him at work already. You have experienced him. Every time the disciples saw the power of Jesus in miracles, the authority is teaching, they experienced the Holy Spirit. Since he has been with you, soon he will indwell you. He will come inside of you. Anyone who calls upon the name of Jesus will be filled with the Holy Spirit, God himself invading your heart, mind, body, and soul forever. Forever.”

#LovedNotEarnedObedience
“``What he's saying is I manifest myself to you. I will reveal myself to you in a supernatural way. You will discover the intimacy of who I am in your inner person, and all of this is a work of the Holy Spirit because you are obeying in response to the fact that you are already loved. Listen to me. Listen to me very carefully. There is nothing you can do for God to love you more. Nothing. There's nothing you can do for God to love you less. The question is not, does God love you? The question is, do you love him? And the evidence that you love him is obedience. He says, if you say you love me and you don't obey me, you actually have no intimacy with me. See, there is a relationship between intimacy and obedience. That if you want to grow in intimacy with God, you have to walk in obedience to him.”

#PeaceThroughObedience
“``We need a gift of peace from Jesus. The apostle Paul says that through the cross, Jesus, by the shedding of his blood, is reconciling all things to himself and making peace with us and God. Meaning, there is no sin in your life that can ever lead you to peace with God, with others, or yourself. So fundamentally, it's the finished work of Jesus on the cross that leads us to peace with him, but it's also the obedience in our own lives. You want peace in your life? Start walking in obedience. You want peace in your finances? Start being obedient with them. It's not your money anyways. You want peace in your marriage? Start being obedient in your marriage. You want peace with your children? Start being obedient to God in the way he calls you to raise your children. You want peace in your singleness? Start being obedient to God and what it means to be single and holy and pure before him.”
