#PartOfTheBody
“You are not meant to live your life alone. You are meant to come as you are to bring everything you have. You are meant to contribute the beautiful gift that only you possess, and you are meant to not stay comfortable because God's power is going to move on the earth, and he wants you to be a part of it. He wants you to experience it, and he wants the body of Christ operating in her full maturity as every part does its work.”

#SpiritFilledSupport
“When life hits the fan, you don't just need a little platonic Facebook post to go up. You don't need a shallow group text of some coworkers that may or may not know what to do or pray. You need people who are filled with God's power and his spirit to surround you and say, will keep praying. We will keep believing. We will stand with you even when you wanna isolate yourself. We will believe for breakthrough until you get it. You need a spirit filled community around you. It's the only way about it, and that has been the Holy Spirit's desire ever since the beginning of time. So”

#AdoptedByGrace
“Are you? Absolutely not. You don't belong because of who you are. You belong because you belong to me. So you need to come in because you're my daughter. This is your house. And church, you don't have to present yourself a certain way before you come into the community of Christ. He already knows how messed up you are. He totally already knows. He's not intimidated by it. He says, come as you are. I have adopted you just as you are. I have chosen you. Now come into the fold of the family of God.”

#PourOutNotJustIn
“And why is that? Because there's no water flowing out of it. There's only water flowing into it. So the Dead Sea receives the rain, and it receives the water from the Jordan River, but nothing ever goes out. It sits there and it becomes a dead environment. And when the church just sits there and says, feed me, feed me, receive, receive. But I will never push myself to have an outlet where I'm actually pouring into anything. We become a dead environment.”

#GatheredByTheSpirit
“No. I have God's spirit. No. I'm a Bible believing Christian. No. I don't do church. It doesn't make any sense. I have no New Testament scriptural evidence that you can be a spirit filled believer and be separated from the community of believers. There there's no scriptural evidence of people being transformed by the spirit and you say, no. I'm gonna lone ranger this thing and do it by myself. No. No. No. The evidence in the scripture from cover to cover is that the holy spirit fills us, and then we gather together.”

#SpiritFueledGrowth
“But that is not the father's house. Praise the Lord. And that is not what we're gonna let you be. And the church of the New Testament, I'm so grateful. I feel like we reflect it really well, but I think we can do better. But the church of the New Testament was alive and active and dynamic because the people were growing exponentially in every chapter. Not just numerically, they were growing in receiving correction. They were growing in their gifting. They were growing and pushing themselves past their comfort zones. They were giving to missionaries and praying for those in prison. They were opening their homes and selling their goods. No one had any lack because the church of the New Testament was growing. Why? Because God's spirit was being poured out.”

#BringWhatYouHave
“And listen, as a body has many parts, if you're not bringing what you have, the body is not functioning correctly. I submit to you maybe some of the things that annoy you about church and communities because you're not contributing your part, and so therefore, it's not a complete community because we're missing something. Paul says, bring what you have so the body can fully function.”
29s
#SayYesToTheSpirit
“And not just God's spirit, it also took the people saying, yes, we will respond to the spirit that's being poured out. His holy spirit was filling the church and the people said, will say yes. I will say yes. I will lay down my comfort. will lay down what I've always done, and I will say yes to what God's doing.”
36s
#JesusModeledCommunity
“And then he created man, and what do you say? It's not good that man is alone. I'm gonna create a companion for him. And then Jesus came and walked to the earth, and Jesus, the son of God, did not choose to walk alone. He surrounded himself with a brotherhood, with disciples and said, no, I wanna live this one life I have with people. I wanna bring people everywhere I go. Jesus set the ultimate example and now the Holy Spirit comes and he is still gathering people unto himself.”
39s
#AdoptedIntoFamily
“When God's spirit enters your life, he no longer sees you as an outcast or someone far off or as a stranger. He sees his son's spirit inside of you, and he welcomes you in as a son and a daughter. He doesn't you're not a stranger from the farthest ends of the earth. He says, no, no, no. That's my son. Bring him close. That's my daughter. Bring her to the house. Let's welcome them into the fold of the spirit filled community. You're a son and a daughter. And as a son and a daughter, you can come to his house as a child of God, not a stranger from the outside.”

#GrowByDoing
“Paul is saying believers who sit there and hear what they wanna hear and say, feed me, feed me, feed me, are no better than infants. grow by doing the work. We grow by receiving correction. You grow by asking God to give you a greater hunger for his word. You grow by attending the classes here at TFH like Discover and Essentials. You grow when you open your home to lead a group. You grow by giving when you don't want to. You grow by serving in our youth ministry on Wednesday nights.”

#PowerOfGathering
“I don't think God is mad about you being in Pilates or joining a book club or playing video games with the bros, you know, on Sunday nights. I don't think he's mad about those things, but I think he also wants you to experience the power of God that comes from spirit filled believers gathering around you and believing for you when you don't believe for yourself.”
38s
#GodIsCommunity
“the Holy Spirit has always been a gatherer. In the beginning, right, there's the trinity. There's the father, the son, and the holy spirit, and they're all hanging out there before time even began. And that was the first small group, pastor Peter. Father, son, holy spirit. Powerful small group. Really good bible times together. Really go deep in the word together. Fathers and holy spirit, the trinity gave us this perfect picture of submission and community. God himself is community. God in his actual nature is someone who wants to commune and be in fellowship with one another.”

#SayYesToJesus
“You're just saying yes, Jesus. I respond to you. I respond to everything that comes with you. I lay down my life, and I wanna pick up the life that you have for me. So this morning, if you wanna come from wherever you are and be accepted by the savior who died on the cross and rose again for you. can raise your hand on the count of three and you're just saying, yep, I'm saying yes to Jesus. One, two, three, you can raise your hand. I'm saying yes to Jesus.”
26s
#Acts2Community
“Based on Acts two, we can see that spirit filled community is Christ centered, generous, growing, and filled with power. Spirit filled community is different than any other community. It's Christ centered. It's generous. It's growing, and it's filled with the power of God's spirit.”
