#SeenAtOurWorst
“``But here's the reality, every single one of us sitting in this room, we have a hunger, we we we have a deep, deep emotional hunger and desire for someone or someones that can indeed see us at our worst, that can indeed the very worst about us and still their love is unstoppable and their love is unshockable. We want somebody that can see us at our ugliest and see a beauty that they believe can still develop from us and that is the way God looks at us. I'm I'm telling you, here here's our dilemma. We look for that in human beings and that's asking an awful lot.”

#HumbleApology
“there's two really simple words that when they are said with great humility and sincerity, they have tremendous power, tremendous power to alter the mood, the feelings, the perspective of another human being, to to bring comfort and peace where there was discomfort and sense of hostility. And the words are really simple. I'm you finish it with me. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. And and we humans, of all people, should be comfortable with that because we know we're not perfect. We know we do things just like the blind spot on the highway. It's my blind spot. We all have blind spots. We make mistakes. Part of being human, we're finite, we're learning as we go, we're making mistakes along the way. So I'm sorry ought to be the easiest thing in the world for us to say, but it's not.”

#EverlastingAssurance
“then the bible says God forgives us. He assures us. He forgives us all of our sins, but more than that, he gives us everlasting life, the assurance of immortality in his kingdom, and then his spirit now comes to help us to grow in this life so that we can become progressively, regardless of circumstances, more and more like Christ. We we can become a more beautiful version, a more Christ like version of ourselves regardless of circumstances, but we need this assurance that when we put our trust in Christ, we're safe, we're secure, God's for us, he's with us, our sins are forgiven, we have everlasting life, and God's never gonna stop working in us until he finishes and brings us to full Christ like perfection.”

#PowerOfSorry
“I'm sorry. Two simple but oh so powerful words because they always matter. They always matter to the Lord and allow him to bless us. By allow him to bless us, it means we're when we're in that humble, honest, open, vulnerable state now, we're willing to do his will, and we're truly sorry for our disregard for his will. They always matter to us and express healing and growth in ourselves. When I, you, we come to a place where we're genuinely sorry for our sin and not for the consequences or the fear, then we are healthy. We are growing. That's evidence of our growth. They always matter to others offering them healing and growth. They may not take it, but it offers them healing and growth. And it always matters relationally, offering the greatest potential for reconciliation.”

#ChristLoveReunion
“You have the absolute certainty that someday if that person is in the kingdom of God when Jesus returns, when his kingdom comes and his will is done on this earth is in heaven, you have the absolute assurance that person who may, I'm gonna just say it, who may absolutely hate you right now, will look into their eyes someday and you will see a love, a warmth, an affection, a joy, an excitement when they see you that is greater than any love, affection, joy, or excitement than you've ever seen in those that love you most even in this life. They will love you with the love of Christ. They will love you that moment. They will love you forever. And whatever the breach was between the relationship, it will be as though it never occurred.”

#ConfessFully
“and we've got to take complete ownership of what we've done, why we've done it, and who we've hurt. I'm a repeat that again. If you really want to do confession where God can cleanse us deeply, we've got to confess what we've done, no excuses, no no legitimizing, no minimizing, or anything like that. But then why we did it? Well, I did it because I was selfish. In David's case, I was selfish, lazy, and lustful, whatever it might have been. And then the damage we've done to others. Okay? That's three levels that God will use to really cleanse us, and that's good for our souls. It gets rid of the guilt, but more importantly, it makes us highly spiritual sensitive to to not walk near those kind of danger zones again.”

#HopeNotExpectations
“I must I must exchange my expectations for mere hopes. What do I mean? If we have expectations, I'm gonna say I'm sorry, and then they're gonna say they're sorry, and we're gonna get in a good conversation and they're gonna make sure that I understood and they're gonna listen to me and I'm forget that. Throw get your expectations and everything I've I've written here, I have practiced for years and throw them in the trash. We go in with no expectations, but we do have hopes, but we understand the person may or may not respond according to our hopes.”

#ApologyHasPossibilities
“Now here's where it gets different. When I say I'm sorry to God, I have the certainty of his mercy, his favor, that's that's a truism. However, when I'm sorry, people give me instead of certainties, what do they give me? Possibilities. Possibilities. We have to be realistic. when I say I'm sorry to somebody, another human being, I I have to be realistic. When you say you're sorry, there's a set of possibilities of what the outcome can be. Let me share those with you.”
