#FaithNotConvenience
“``Even king Solomon would do that. In fact, the Bible says, first Kings three verse three, Solomon showed his love for the Lord by walking according to the statues of his father, David. Now, that's good news. That's good news. He loves the Lord. He's following the statues of his father, David. But listen to the next part of that verse. Except that he offered sacrifices and burned incense on the high places. You know, that describes a lot of people today. There's a lot of people today that love the Lord, but they gossip. There's a lot of people who love the Lord, but they don't treat other people very well. There are people who love the Lord, you fill in the blank. You know, they love the Lord, I love the Lord. But really, when it comes down to doing what God wants them to do, they don't do what god wants them to do. They do everything except he Solomon is choosing convenience over concentration. Sometimes we're that way. We choose concentrate convenience over being convicted and doing what God wants us to do.”

#SeekGodFirst
“Now the truth of the matter is some people wonder, where's God at? Why isn't God working in my life? Well, God says, who moved? I didn't move. Did you move? Did you go someplace else? You know, if you seek God first, you do what God wants. You're gonna find God's presence in your life. But if you're not seeking after the will of God, you're gonna find wondering why isn't God working in my life? Could be because you're not working with God.”

#HumblyDependent
“How has God been in your life and how has God worked in your life? Number two, I want you to notice that he recognized his own weakness. We need to recognize our own weakness. There in verses seven and eight, now, oh, lord, my god, you have you have made your servant king in his place of his father, David, for I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties. Your servant is here among the people and have chosen a great people too numerous to count or number. You know, that's a missing ingredient in many people's prayers. They don't recognize I'm in need of you. I am dependent upon you. He says, I'm like a child. I'm just like a servant. And reckon he recognized his own weakness. So recall what God had done. Then number two, he recognized his own weaknesses depend upon God. And then number three, he makes his request for God's wisdom. When God asked him, what do you want?”

#HeavenlyWisdom
“Well, the bible's full of wisdom. There's a lot of wisdom in the world, but there's no greater wisdom than the wisdom that comes from heaven above. In fact, the Bible tells us over in Proverbs 26 verse 17, a wise saying, like one who sees the dog by the ear is a pacifier who meddles in the quarrel not his own. There's a lot of wisdom right there. Now, comes from God Almighty. James chapter three verse 17 says, but the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure, then peaceful, loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy, and good fruit, impartial, and insincere.”
