#RenewalTakesTime
“And essentially, what I'm getting at is this, is that no heart is too hardened to be changed and transformed. No heart. Not Gordon Bombay's, and clearly, not Paul's either. So when it comes to transforming our heart, we have to go through this process of what I would say is called renewal, and the renewal process takes some time. It's not something that just happens immediately. It's not something that just happens as soon as you make the decision. It's a gradual just like a heart and heart is a gradual loss.”

#NoHeartTooHardened
“``So as you walk out of this place and we sing one last song together and you continue on with your life. Right? Like, after you leave this place, life continues status quo. Right? Everything Everything just goes back to normal. We'll forget what we talked about here, but I would challenge you because I think the lives of so many people depend upon it is this. And remember this is that no heart is too hardened. No one. You're thinking of somebody right now. That person's heart is not too hardened to be changed and transformed. We just have to go first.”

#ChosenForPurpose
“God is saying, listen. I know what Paul did, but he is chosen by me, and most importantly, he is mine. He is my son, and I know that he will carry my name. This is what he was made for. This was his assignment before he was born, and he has finally figured it out. And just like God said that about Paul, he is saying that about me, and he is saying that about every single one of you, that you are chosen by God to do something that only you can do.”

#ReplaceLiesWithTruth
“Identify the lies that inform our attitudes and actions. There's a lot of lies that we tell ourselves that stop us from opening up our hearts to all that God has in store for us. And when we finally identify those things, when we finally become aware of those things, we can replace those lies with truth. We can replace those lies with all the truth that God has in store for us. You are a chosen instrument of his to do whatever he you made you to do, whatever you were born to do.”

#PrioritizeFaithOverWorldlyGain
“It's easy to conform to this world and conform to what the world says we should do. It's easy to make more money, spend less time with your family. You're putting money away for your kids to go to college. You're getting a bigger house. You're getting more cars. You're doing all these things. But what if instead you transformed your mind and gave your finances to God first? What if you transformed your mind and realized that maybe God has something to say about me being away from home all the time or the friends that I'm choosing to spend my time with or how I'm spending my time elsewhere? What if we gave those things to God? What if we spent more time more time in solitude and in prayer?”

#InnerDecisionsMatter
“If we spent more time doing that, then we would make room, we'd open up our hearts, we'd open up our minds to his good, perfect, and pleasing will. And it's more than just a commitment. It's what's on the inside, the decisions that we make on the inside that determines what happens on the outside. And when we make those decisions through this renewal process, the wisdom and truth of God then become the foundation of our thinking and ultimately, the foundation of our behavior.”

#EncounterThatChangedEverything
“But what the Jews didn't realize in the moment, what I don't want us to miss is this, is that this encounter that Paul had with Jesus changed the way that he was known, and it changed his identity. And we've all heard about pivotal circumstances, and I would argue that this is a pivotal circumstance in the bible that changes everything. Not just for Paul in that moment, but changes everything for every town that he goes to after this, for every person that he encounters, for every child that he sees, for every community that he reaches. Because this pivotal circumstance in Paul's life opens his eyes. He is no longer blind to who Jesus is.”

#ChangedToShareTheGospel
“And what happened after that? They glorified God because of Paul's conversion. Not because the actual act of conversion, not because of just this one circumstance that happened, but because when Paul was changed, he took the gospel into different towns. He taught people what it means to live like Jesus. He taught people what it means to think like Jesus. He taught people what it means to love like Jesus, and people were changed and glorified God because of that.”
