#DedicatedToGodsWork
“I just wanna remind all of us today that what we we are not a YMCA. We are not a community club. We do not get together because we need friendship. The reason why we are a part of the church is because it was established by God, and we have a connection with the creator of the universe that when we need something, we can go to him. When we're stressed out and we're carrying a burden that we can't carry, he will help us. And those grandiose words that king David uses to describe God don't even come to describe who he is. But he tried his best to dedicate with his words the the resources that the Israelites brought for the future house. So that's what I wanna do today. We're gonna now dedicate that simple little building out there, but we're dedicating not the building, but the work that God will do through it.”

#SacredNotStructure
“And and it's a good reminder that David had to do the same thing we had to do. He had to go talk to those people. He had to ask those people to see a vision before it was there. And he reminded them that the structures they're building, they're important, but they're not that important. Because without God, this is just another Costco building. Right? Without God, that building out there is just another classroom. But when God comes in and is a part of that story, it becomes a sacred place where life change happens.”

#EveryJobForGod
“And if this is your first time to come to City this morning, you're like, hey, pastor Brian. I'm not connected at all to your building. It's all well and good, but, like, what is this morning? What does God have for me this morning? I would tell you this one thing, is that whatever you do and wherever you work tomorrow, you have a choice to do it for God. And what happens is when you choose to work your regular nine to five job for God, you get a unique blessing that happens. Colossians three twenty says that whatever we do, wherever we work, we do for God, and that blessing blesses us.”

#ServeForGod
“Right? And he had this great vision to know what we do, we do for God. What we give, the tithes and the offerings and the and the volunteer hours, everything we do, I hope you don't do that for Compass City. I hope if you choose to give, and I hope if you choose to serve, you're doing it because you're serving your God. You're not serving me, and you're not serving the staff. You're not serving this church. You're serving God in the process, whether you're in the kids ministry, whether you're serving our youth ministry, whether you're at the front doors, whether you're dropping off your tithes and your offerings. You're not giving it to the church. You are giving it to God.”
