“``You know, these villagers are correct in their assessment when they when you look at verse two where they ask this question, where did Jesus get all this wisdom and power to perform miracles? You see, they rightly understood that no human source could produce the miracles that Jesus was doing, but where they missed the boat in their assumption is that that God couldn't change him. They missed the the boat in the sense that they assumed that Jesus was still the same person, the same young man who they had watched growing up. They were so focused on who Jesus used to be that they were blinded to who he had become. Friends, when God is active in your life, some people will reject the new you.”

“See, truth number five, when God is active in your life, keep engaging people. When God is active in your life, keep engaging people. Keep pressing on. Don't be discouraged by the naysayers. Don't be discouraged by the negative people in this world. Just say, you know what? That's okay for you, but for me, with God's help, I'm gonna keep pressing on. I'm gonna keep being a value adder. I'm gonna pee keep being someone who brings positivity. You know, friends, notice here that when Jesus' hometown community rejected him, Jesus didn't stop doing ministry. Jesus didn't quit. He simply redirected his ministry focus. Jesus gave his attention to those who are receptive and eager to have God's touch on their life.”

“And so rather than stay in town and preach after week after week after week in the in the synagogue with the hope of maybe changing people's hearts and minds, we read here that Jesus instead, he marvels at the unbelief of his hometown community, and he makes the decision to do what? To move on. Right? To take his ministry to the surrounding villages where people will receive him with openness. Reinforcing this truth that when God is active in my life, I need to be influential where I can. I need to invest my energies. You need to invest your time and your resources in those who are receptive. Invest in those who want to be invested in.”
54s
“So how are we to respond when people refuse our generosity? How are we we to react when the people we love most push us away? Well, with God's help, we would probably be wise to do what Jesus did. He leaned on the support of his friends, and then he put his eyes on a new group of people to invest in. Truth number four. When God is active in my life, be influential where you When God is active in your life, personalize this. When God is active in my life, I need to be influential where I can.”
