#UndividedHeart
“But he said, if your eye is healthy, which in fact, if you look at the language, Jesus chose uniquely in in Hebrew idioms. There's there's other ways for him to have gone and he went this way. Eye is healthy actually means more like whole. It actually means something like whole and simple and undefiled and pure and clear. If your eye We could say it this way. Is set on one thing? If your eyes set on one thing, then your body will be full of light. Whole means not duplicitous. Whole means undivided. And that plants itself central in the Hebrew scriptures all the way through the New Testament. Lord, keep me from being double minded. Lord, give me an undivided heart. Lord, where I have loyalties that I see or don't see that are other than you, God deal with those.”

#PerceptionShapesLife
“Right? The way that you understand the world or perceive the world, godless or full of god, that affects everything about how you live. The people you touch, the people you refuse to touch. Right? The things you search on your phone, the things you refuse to search on your phone, the the things you watch, the things you don't watch, whatever it may be, it it all affects affects all of that because it is in our body. And in fact, if you go through anything real in life, you'll find that it's affected your body, not just your mind. And in in Jesus himself is a minister of healing to the body.”

#EyesOnJesus
“``Now, I speak this verse to us because we, a, contend to try and make our own darkness light. Let's not waste our time striving to do that. Just set your eyes on Jesus. But we also can face fair amount of discouragement with this. Like my story I started off with this week. How do I, with all the many things coming at me, actually seek first the Lord? Well, here's the here's one of the answers. It is the Lord who lightens your darkness, not you. It is the Lord who lightens your darkness. The only source of light you get is the Lord.”
