#FreshInfilling
“When we, as a result of being filled with the spirit of God, when we come together and our voices knit together, we get in tune with God. Sometimes you get out of tune. Amen? Sometimes you sing off key. You may be like me and don't know it, but somebody near you will point it out. Or you can just kinda tell, your life's not jiving with everything God's doing. You know, he's turning right and you're turning left, and things aren't going well. It's time to be retuned. It's time to get yourself back in tune with god and what that means in when we translate the musical analogy is, it's time for a fresh infilling of the holy spirit.”

#SpiritAndWord
“Well, singing is also a result of being indwelt by the word of God, not just the spirit of God, but the word of god. You know, there are two things necessary for creation to take place. The spirit of god and the word of god. And if you go back to Genesis, you see it. The spirit of god was there hovering over the chaos and God spoke and things came into existence. Well, the same principle applies in your life. The spirit of God, the life, the energy, the breath, the power of God, and the word of God form you into cry who Christ made you to be. And that happens very powerfully often when we sing.”

#StayFilledWithSpirit
“Oftentimes, we have to come. If you come up here and look, Kathy has a stash of distilled water up here. I mean, like, if we have a drought, I know how we can end it. It's like gallons of it up here. Okay? But it's for the piano because if you don't keep the reservoir full, then the piano won't stay humidified right, and it won't be in tune. Well, your life is the same way. If you don't stay freshly filled with the spirit of God, you're not gonna be in tune with what God's doing. And there's a great example with that from music. And there's examples in the Bible when we need to come, we say, Lord, I'm just a little dry. I need a fresh infilling of the spirit.”

#GoToSong
“If you don't have a go to song, you need a go to song. Sometimes, you can even make up your own go to song, but you need a go to song. You need one at the ready so that when trouble comes along, you can change the direction of your life because you can break into song. be careful. If you do that real loud and real enthusiastically at Walmart, people will think you're crazy.”
