#UnguidedPower
“Where is your power unguided without his proper guidance? When you cause this short circuitry as we mentioned before, it is usually because the energy is so powerful, but it goes to the easiest routes. And that's what happens. All that energy builds up. It takes the easiest path to cause destruction. I know I'm not supposed to do this. I know I'm supposed to do that, but it's so much easier to do the opposite.”

#BelieveAndLive
“The encouragement this morning is Jesus truly is coming again. But I don't want us just to do it as just words because our parents said it and our grandparents said it. It only makes sense if we really believe it and govern ourselves accordingly. The thing about that live wire is it doesn't lose the power until the very end. It has enough power to still burn through things. It's like the story of Sampson that after she tricked him and cut off his hair, the text says he got up as if his power was still with him, and he didn't what?”

#SlowBurnDecay
“because the house doesn't burn down immediately, but very slowly, very gently, you start to burn through all of your standards, and all of the standards of God, and gently ever so effortlessly, the framing, the structure that's supposed to keep you strong, the structure that you're supposed to build the house on starts to and you lose it and it goes away. And there you are short circuiting. And before you know it, the house tumbles and God does not intend for that to be the case.”

#InternalThreats
“The biggest issue we have in our churches today in Christianity is not that the government or people who don't believe in God or attacking us, they have nothing to do with that. The biggest issue we have is we were attacking us. We are attacking us. We are attacking God. We are misrepresenting God. We don't understand the time is nigh. wanna build. We wanna grow. We wanna expand. We wanna stack. We wanna save. We wanna get money.”
36s
#AppearanceVsReality
“The way in which he is deal with it is to say many of us will show up. That's what they were doing. He's speaking to the church. He said, you will show up, you will do these things, you will sing the songs, you will dress the best, you will smell the best on Sabbath, but he says this behavior, this slow whittling away of the standards and the power that God has given you is gonna cause you to burn the house down. Do you see that?”

#ReigniteHope
“Brothers and sisters, the objective for today's message, the objective for our service today is that Jesus is truly coming again. He is truly coming again. And the reality is that probably 70 cent 70% of you all just heard that as something you heard as a child. That's the facts. That's what statistics will bear out. I know I'm waiting for the second coming. Woo hoo. That's the facts. Because we've gotten accustomed to the life,”

#BuildThenCorrect
“but it's a lesson for all of us. When we are dealing with our family members and our friends, do we pound them over the head with why you need to come to church on Sabbath? Do we build them up and then back up? Build them up. That's what Paul is doing. You're amazing. God loves you. He's giving you gifts. What's this discussion now about dividing and division in the church? That's not right. Let me tell you about Jesus and him crucified. You see what he's doing? See how smooth that is?”

#AddressTheBrethren
“Paul says, wasn't speaking about the world. I was speaking to you all. He said, why would I tell the world who don't understand spiritual things? I was talking to you all because the word I got on the block, Paul is saying in current vernacular, is that you have people within the church who are his words are behaving worse than the heathens. Do you see it in your text? of your text says worse than the pagans. Look how he starts off. Paul is speaking from his heart.”
34s
#GenerousGraceWarning
“He's sweet talking to them. Look. Didn't didn't didn't Christ give you this power to do this and the power to do that? Hey, you got that power now. He is not stingy with his gifts. building up the church. And then when you watch the flow of Paul now, he moves over to chapter three, and then he picks up the discussion again, right again about Paul and Apollos. He doesn't let it go, but it's a lesson for all of us. When we are dealing with our family members and our friends, do we pound them over the head with why you need to come to church on Sabbath?”

#StopCondoningSin
“You all are so focused on everything else, but you're missing this. It's almost like you are condoning the behavior. You people of God, you are condoning the behavior. So Paul is checking their priorities. He's reminding them how important it is for them to worship God and to address the wrong and the bad behavior. And then he lands in chapter six. It's a continuation of chapter five. That's what we read today. Because as you are doing these bad things in Corinth, Corinth was very interesting.”
30s
#PriorityCheck
“To have an inheritance, your mother leaves you her watch, your grandfather leaves you plot of land, to have an inheritance or to say it like that, it denotes that something has been prepared for you. denotes that something has been prepared for you. So in his speaking to them, it then further condotes that what they have in place is better than what they have or what they're pursuing.”
55s
#PreparedInheritance
“The appeal today is simple. Two main things. I'm not gonna beg you. I'm not gonna belabor the point. What I'm asking is individuals, individuals, you know where you are. You may have never been baptized before. You may have been forced to come here today or someone sent you an invitation or you just passed by and saw a bunch of cars. Whatever it is, you've never been baptized. Anybody here like that? That you realize, you know what? I know that God has been with me. He has saved my life. He has provided food and shelter for me when I had no one caring about me. God has been there for me. If you've never given your life to Christ, I'm asking you to raise your hand this morning.”
31s
#ChooseBaptismToday
“on in a subtle way what Paul is is describing is a franchise operation. He's saying this is the church of God, but at Corinth. It's like the McDonald's, but on this street. He's saying this is a universal thing. Right? This God thing, this church thing is everywhere. You just happen to be running the establishment at Corinth. And that's how he's speaking to them. But he says, you have concerns of whether or not you're gonna worship or go the way of me, Paul, or Apollos.”

#LocalBranchUniversalChurch
“When something short circuits, it usually means that an electric current has deviated from its intended path. It usually chooses the closest or the easiest route That energy, that live wire will then usually touch a neutral wire or a ground. Thus, this new surge of unregistered, unplanned for energy will cause a spark, cause a disruption. Usually, when that is done, this short circuit, the initial the small thin veil plastic surrounding the wire will begin to melt and smoke. I hear some electricians in the audience. As it melts, as it goes away, if it's left unattended, that spark, that short circuit then bleeds into other areas.”
46s
#QuitFactionalism
“The thing about it, most of us, when we notice it, is when you turn on the the switch and you see your lights flickering. Y'all with me today? Usually, when your light's so flickering, you'll see it bright then dark. Bright then dark. Bright then dark. Light then dark. The darkness doesn't usually stay forever. It's usually quick, usually every second or so. But, again, left unattended, the darkness takes over. no longer that powerful source is sending bright light. Now you have darkness because it's too much.”
38s
#FlickeringFaith
“Often when you don't switch on the light, you don't see the flickering. It is happening beneath the surface. It is happening internally. So you are short circuiting internally. The power that you're supposed to have, The live wire now looks at the neutral wire, the ground, and they wanna touch everything and be everywhere. It wants to be just like that, but the live wire can't touch everything and go everywhere because it will cause destruction. It's too powerful.”
38s
#ShortCircuitWithin
“If you have been aware of God, you have walked with him, you've been aware, you've sung the songs, but you know you got power, but you've been deviating from the plan. And your house is starting to get a little bit of sparks. you wanna make a decision to say, Lord, I wanna be on your intended path. I'm gonna ask you to raise your hand. If you wanna be on God's intended path, those of you who raise your hands, I'm gonna ask you to stand. Nobody else is for you.”
30s
#ProtectTheInsulation
“Paul drops us in the text now of first Corinthians. And when you start off, Paul is addressing the church, and he does it in a very smooth way. He says, look, I am an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God. And he goes through this thing, and he he builds them up by saying, look, you also are a follower of Jesus. Remember Jesus, because of his grace, he did all these things. You see all that? He's building them up. He's writing a letter to them, and then he switches. He pivots in verse 10. He switches to say, hey,”
40s
#ApostolicPivot
“See, it starts off at first where you just burn through the thin insulation. You know, that's the thing where it's not necessarily gonna make or break you. It's not salvific. It's just maybe I'll go someplace I don't need to go. Maybe I drink a little something I don't need to. Maybe I touch someone I don't need to touch. You know, it's light work, installation. So we make excuses for it because, you know, God knows my heart and gently, because the house doesn't burn down immediately, but very slowly, very gently,”
