#DeepEndFaith
“``And when life throws you into the deep end, you can't learn to swim at that moment. And so while you can touch would be a great time to allow your heavenly father to teach you how to swim spiritually. It would be a great time. Now some of you are like, too late. I'm already drowning in the deep end. God bless you. And that's an awesome position to be in. You wanna know why? Because you don't think you can swim when you're drowning. Unless your name is Sarah, you know that you need help. And so that's a blessed place to be. So I want to challenge you to to deepen your faith to go out, to be able to go outside of the shallow end of faith.”

#JesusLifesaver
“And so Jesus is doing this because he doesn't even know he can't swim in the deep end of faith. Shallow faith can fool you. Can we also point out the fact that the experts in the law who had no depth in their faith called Jesus what did they a good teacher. Right? They call him a teacher. Naming Jesus as a teacher doesn't give him any saving power. He can't be your life preserver if he's just telling you from the sidelines some good things to live by. But if Jesus jumps into the pool with you, and that's what he did when he came to Earth, and he would he would risk he gave his life to saviors, is a lifesaver, not just a teacher.”

#LovedBeyondMeasure
“God loves you. He loves you right where you're at. And, God loves you so much that he sent his only son to die to to to release you from the penalty of your sins. He did that for me. He did that for you just the same. and, of course, you've probably heard that story before, how God sent his son Jesus to die for your sins. And maybe you've heard that God loves people out of hell. But here at Coastal, we wanna make sure that you know that not only does God love you out of hell, he loves the hell out of you. And so no matter where you're at, who you're from, what you've done, even if you're not sure he really exists, he loves you so much.”

#ParentsLeadFaith
“And let me also say, parents, and I'm I'm gonna be careful here because we parents, we got enough guilt, don't we? We got guilt. I was just I was up in the middle of the night thinking of something stupid I did. I did. I just you know, I always wanna make sure I'm doing the best I can for my kids. But parents, we can't subcontract our children's spirituality to coastal kids or coastal students. We're not with them enough here to have an impact that's gonna last longer than the event. And so parents sometimes come to me and we just want God in our children's lives. We want our children to have kind of a sense of faith and spirituality. That's awesome. We want our kids to be able to swim in the deep end. Right? You better get in the deep end with them. You better walk the faith that you say you have.”

#LawGuidesFreedom
“So we continue. Here's the thing. The law was not created to burden people. The law was created to create structure, to create guidance, and the scriptures weren't created to enslave you and ensnare you and and hold you down and restrict you. Truth of the scriptures are to give us freedom because and I just need someone to back me up here. If you go down the path long enough living your own truth, you know where that leads to, and that is slavery. That is I'm just saying, that is the consequences of what foolish things you've done, and I'm not gonna go into lots of details here because we got a ton of kids here. But can you please fill in the blanks? Have you ever lived long enough going the other direction apart from the truth? They're saying this is my truth apart from God's truth that you can say, yeah. I've got some dysfunction now that came from that decision then. Anyone can just say it. Don't.”

#ModelWhatYouLive
“Because parents, your children are watching you. What you model, you will multiply. And so the the phrase do as I say, not as I do. Right? I if you're if you haven't said that as a parent, you're probably not a parent. Right? But it's dumb. Because what are your kids gonna do when you're gone? They're gonna do what you did. Dad did it. It must be okay. Mom did it. It must be okay. They're watching you, mom and dad. They're seeing how you handle when you get angry. What happens when someone cuts you off? And how maybe when you're mistreated by someone, maybe they've even seen someone yell at you. How do they see you respond? They see you when you fail. Do you ask for forgiveness even of your children? Do you apologize?”

#SurfaceVsDepth
“what Jesus is saying is, like, you don't even know yourself how dirty you are beneath the surface. It's it's kinda like there are those, patches of bright green grass right over your septic tank and drain field. You know what I'm talking about? Do you know why it's so healthy and green right there? Be it looks pretty on the surface, but beneath is kinda nasty. And Jesus is kinda saying this is what you're about. There is decay. There is there is disgusting beneath the surface. It looks nice and green on top, but below the surface is death. So the greatest danger, to shallow faith is not that you might mislead others, although that's a problem. It's that you are misleading. You're fooling yourself.”

#TiredOfDrowning
“You don't have to, like, raise your hand and out yourself. But, like, I need you to do that because there's people here who still think, well, I could just go there and then God will save me, then God will go here and God will save me. It's not that God's ever gonna get tired of saving you, but aren't you tired of drowning? Alright. When are you gonna be tired of drinking pool water, trying to breathe pool water? God will keep rescuing you, but he would love for you to grow deeper.”
