#PursuedByHisLove
“``Some of you need to have the courage of Ore to change your mind about king Jesus. In light of new information, in light of a new encounter in which you've realized that he has been pursuing me in love, in light of a new realization that, wait, he went to the greatest lengths to purchase me for himself as his bride. He went to the greatest lengths to wash me clean from the stain that was on me. I've never been loved like that, and I'm never gonna be loved like that by anybody else.”

“In other words, while this fourth reason to say yes to king Jesus, it might seem self serving, like look what it did to beautify us. This is what the text is saying. It's saying that the most beautiful version of yourself is the version of yourself that's basking in king Jesus' love and adoration. most splendid, the most glowed up version of you is the version that's basking in king Jesus' adornment.”

#RoyalBrideStatus
“It also dishonors him for us to underestimate our standing, to think too little of ourselves, to listen to the lies of the enemy who tells us we're dirty or that we're unworthy or that we're guilty. That's to disrespect king Jesus, actually, because what it's saying is, king Jesus, you didn't choose your bride well. This passage corrects that too. The psalmist says, no, bride. You're gonna be the one that the paparazzi wanna take photos with. You're gonna be the one that the who's who want to befriend, the one receiving gifts from celebrities because you're married to this king while all the women of the world are lying awake at night thinking of how they would die for the king to even glance in their direction for a moment. You're the one who gets his focused exclusive gaze as he looks on you with desire. That's you.”

#RaisedToRoyalty
“That standing is yours and yours alone, bride of Christ. It's true. You're not the main character. We don't get to be Jesus. We have a different part to play in the story. But given where we started, right, the massive gap between god and us humans, for us to be elevated to play this part in the story, the bride of king Jesus, this isn't just commoner Kate Middleton becoming princess Kate. This is something far more astounding.”
