“That the gospel doesn't come in as an explosion. It comes in in seed form, but that seed form has power. It has power to swallow shame, to eat guilt, and to crack through hearts of stone or anything else that stands in its way. It had the power to bring the Roman Empire down to its knees. It has the power to free addicts, to change sinners into saints, to heal the hurt and the broken, to provide for the poor and the vulnerable, and it has the power to change your life.”

“But every action, word, and prayer he prayed, I wonder if he looked at it as a seed that one day, God, maybe you would grow in the hearts of my kids, that one day, Lord, maybe you'd grow in the hearts of my grandkids, that one day, Lord, you might grow in the hearts of their spouses, that you would grow in the hearts of their kids, and that eventually there would be a dynasty, a legacy that was left behind of the impact, not of me, but of Jesus that what my name would fade into the background as a no name, but Jesus' name would push forward because he's who it's all about anyway.”
