#SayYesActivate
“``Church, we've seen what God can do in the last two months. Imagine what he could do if if even more of us just said yes. So here's my challenge. Don't leave today asking, does does the next gen ministry really need volunteers? That's the wrong question. It's the wrong question. I want you to ask, Jesus, where do you want me? Because maybe the next step in your own spiritual growth isn't another class to sit in. Maybe it's not another bible study to go to. Maybe your next step is to take everything God has already put inside of you and activate it right here.”

#AskJesusWhere
“So here's my challenge. Maybe your next step is to take everything God has already put inside of you and activate it right here. And if his answer might be kids, students, families, missions, VBS, fine arts, any part of NextGen, come talk to us.”

#ServingTransforms
“And that's when something changed. We became a team, and suddenly, the mission trip wasn't just about completing projects. God was building something in us while we were trying to build something for somebody else. That's how serving works. We think volunteering is giving something to god or someone else, but the reality is our time, our talents, our energy. somewhere along the way, we discover while God is working through us, God is also working in us.”

#BePartNotAttend
“Because there's a difference between attending church and being a part of the church. And this summer, I watched that difference firsthand. We had lumber problems. We had rain and more rain. And just for variety, god threw in some mosquitoes. But I watched adults and students stop worrying about whose job it was and just do what needed to be done. And that's when something changed. We became a team, and suddenly, the mission trip wasn't just about completing projects. God was building something in us while we were trying to build something for somebody else.”

#RaiseNextGen
“We're not just trying to get kids through the next gen ministry. It's not a it's not a a race. We're raising up the next generation of John Wesley church. Church, we've seen what God can do in the last two months. Imagine what he could do if if even more of us just said yes. So here's my challenge. Don't leave today asking, does does the next gen ministry really need volunteers? That's the wrong question. It's the wrong question. I want you to ask, Jesus, where do you want me?”

#ConnectGrowActivate
“And maybe that's the the beautiful picture of connect, grow, activate. We help them grow in their faith. We activate them to serve. And then one day, the kid the kids we're we're serving right now become the adults helping someone else connect, grow, activate. We're not just trying to get kids through the next gen ministry. It's not a it's not a a race. We're raising up the next generation of John Wesley church.”

#ShareYourGifts
“Because somewhere in this church is a kid who needs some something God has already placed inside of you. Your patience, your story, your wisdom, your encouragement, your ability to listen, your ability to take make them laugh, your ability to show up consistently and remind them, you matter. You belong here. Jesus loves you and I'm glad you're here.”

#BeTheConnection
“And sometimes, activates you because the very person somebody else, needs to help connect to Jesus. You may be that person. A sixth grader may connect connect to Jesus because an adult decided to learn their name. A teenager may grow in their faith because somebody older than them sat down and said, I've been through what you're going through or something like it. And here's what God taught me. A child may someday look back and say, there was that person at John Wesley that showed up every Sunday and they knew my name. They prayed for me and they believed in me. But here's the amazing part, that person could be you.”
