#RaisedFromDespair
“I should forsake you, but I promise I will never leave you nor forsake you. That's my Jesus. You know? That's how good he is, and the church should bear witness that God has the power to bring you back from despair into hope. Anybody here today had a moment in your life where God brought you from despair into hope? Man, I hope so. I hope you all can testify to that. God is that kind of God. And when he says, I wanna know you in the power of the resurrection, he's saying, I wanna be raised up again. I wanna be used if you got help me today to live for you right here, right now in this moment. Now to do what? To press on.”

#SavedForPurpose
“My God wants you to know that he raises you up again for a reason, and that reason to become more and more and more like Christ. He says, I wanna be more mature. I press on. I laid hold of that for which a reason for which Christ laid hold of me. Do you know why God saved you? For his own good purpose. Do you know what that purpose is today? Let me ask you a question. Why are you breathing? Why are you still breathing? We had, last week, a young man, 41 years old, brain cancer. He was diagnosed. He's a contractor, 41, married, little two little girls, 12 and nine years old. From the moment of his diagnosis to the day of his death, was ten months. So we're like, well, why did God take him? I don't know. Why are you still here? are you still here? If God took him home because it was his time, and he still got a reason for you to be here breathing today, he's got a purpose for your life too, doesn't he? Christ took hold of you for a reason. That's what it says in the text. I know God's taking hold of me, and I'm gonna press on towards that goal. I'm gonna run this race like I'm gonna win this race. Amen.”

#JoyInSuffering
“Whole lot of church folks are soft around the gills because my friends know this. It's all about making them happy. Well, the chair is too hard. I won't be here today. My friends, how about a rock rock pad pay pay driveway with rocks thrown at you for your testimony of Jesus Christ. How about that for your Christianity is not about your comfort, my friends. It's about his glory. And when you start to realize that even the sufferings of life cannot keep you from the joy of the Lord, which is your strength, you'll really understand how powerful the joy of the Lord is in your life, and you'll testify to the world. Hey. Look what God's done. I should be I should be just down done and over and finished by the trials that have come against me, But they have produced a joy in me that I can't even imagine.”

#ForChristNotForSelf
“If you live your life in what you used to be, instead of live your life for who Christ is, you will never bear witness effectively for the kingdom of almighty God. It ain't about you and sharing about your confidence and surely not about your condemnation. If you will live out there and say, well, I got nothing good going for me, then my friends know this. God came to the nobodies so we might make much of the sole one buddy that made it all right. Hear this, my friends, because no matter what you were, when you meet Christ, everything is supposed to change.”
