63s
“But what's the next best thing for him to do? Prevent you from accomplishing what god created for you to accomplish. I can't take his salvation, but I can see to it that he's no good for god long as he's down here. And so that's what he does. That's what Paul was concerned about when it came to the church at Corinth. He's speaking to people that are genuinely saved. But he's saying you're being steered away from complete devotion to God. You'll still get to heaven, but you will not accomplish what god created for you to accomplish because you were deceived.”
59s
“But there's a deception that's far more detrimental than being scammed out of a few dollars, and it's called spiritual deception. And spiritual deception is a major threat to the church today. Spiritual deception usually originates within the church, often impersonating the truth. And when spiritual deception is not detected, it can have eternal consequences.”
76s
“And so what Paul is helping us to understand by referring back to Genesis chapter three, don't forget that he has the power to make himself look like something or someone that he is not. When he shows up at the church with his three piece suit on and his gold chain around his neck and the big old cross on his chest, that does not mean that he's a child of god. And he pulls up in his Maserati. He looks good, but he ain't good. That's what Paul is saying here. You all you all have been tricked and deceived because you have missed you have missed the lesson of Genesis chapter three about our enemy.”
