#BelongToGod
“Holiness believe means I belong to him, and I choose him more than I choose my struggle, more than I choose what's tempting me. Holiness is deciding that no appetite in my life gets to determine what I do with what belongs to God. So what belongs to God, I do. You do. We do. We belong to God, and that is why we are holy.”

#ChooseTheSacred
“Hear me. Hear me. Esau ate. He got up. He he walked away, and the hunger passed. But what he had traded mattered far longer than what appetite had convinced him to trade for it. My question for you is what bowl of soup keeps asking you to trade for something sacred? What is it in your life that just keeps you keep receiving the bowl to have your flesh and my flesh satisfied instead of saying, hey, God, you have more for me, and I want to spend more time with you. Holiness, flesh says, what do I want? What makes me feel good? What makes me comfortable? What satisfies me now? Holiness asks a different question. Holiness asks the question, what belongs to God in my life?”

#MasterYourAppetite
“How many times have I traded something sacred because my flesh was hungry? Because my carnal nature had an appetite to be satisfied in the moment. So I traded what was sacred, what was holy for something that was common. The appetite isn't inherently simple. We all get hungry. We all get hungry. The appetite's not the problem. The problem is when appetite becomes our master. Master.”
