#LightMeOnFire
“See, don't need a majority. You don't need a majority of lights in a room to chase away the darkness, you just need a few. And that few starts with a one. And you're probably the light in whatever situation or circumstance you're thinking of right now. And here's what I want you to see, God has you there for a reason. Don't dim your light. Don't dim your light. You wake up every morning, here's a really good prayer to pray every single one because there's a lot of mornings and of us feel like shining our lights. We just wanna go back to bed. We wanna go back to bed or the world's beating beating us down, all the things. Get it. Been there. Okay. Have that t shirt too. I know what that feels like. Okay. When you get up, here's a really great prayer to prayer. God, I need you to light me on fire today. need you to light me on fire today, God. God, I'm gonna be a light today, but I I don't have enough to light my fire right now. And I think that's why Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit to be a helper.”

#ShineEvenIfAlone
“See, being a light doesn't mean you just get to attract all of the people that everybody would want around you. No, that's not what it means at all. It means that the people that no one wants around them gravitate towards you and you're the person that points them to the hope you found in Jesus Christ. It's a remarkable way to live. You shine your light. Some of you are in situations right now, like, man, hear you, but you gotta understand, it's really dark at my office place. It's really dark at my school. I live in a really bad part of town. Like I could use a few more lights. I mean, if it's just me, I'm not so sure it's going to work. And I hear you but see, here's the thing, it only takes one light to chase away the darkness. We could cut off all the lights in this room. One little light would begin to eliminate the darkness and begin to make the dark chase away. So so yes, even if you're the only light, shine your light.”

#BreakGenerationalSin
“It's a different approach. And and if you begin to recognize this, you begin to see areas of your life where you have an opportunity to slow the decay of sin. Some of you are new Christians. You're the first Christian on your family tree. So what do think about for a moment? There are there's generational sin in your family tree, and you're the first person to stand up and say, no more. Things are gonna be different now. The the generational sin that's been present and all of the things that went with that, I am now as a Christ follower taking on the responsibility empowered by the Holy Spirit to slow that decay. I mean, alcoholism may have been passed down from one generation to the next, it will stop here. I'm slowing the decay. There may be a pattern in a story of broken marriages, and as and as a new young married couple, and as new Christ followers, you're standing in the gap and you're saying that stops here.”

#SlowTheDecay
“Salt is slowing the decay, and I want us to think about that in terms of being a Christian here on this earth. Part of being a Christ follower is that we are supposed to slow the decaying effect that sin is having in this world. And sin has been having a decaying effect in every aspect of this world since Adam and Eve brought sin into the world through the choice they made in the garden. And sin has been advancing and there's a compounding effect of sin the closer we get to the return of Jesus Christ. And I think we have to right size this as Christians because sometimes Christians will think, you know, man, if we were really making a difference in this world, wouldn't things be getting better? It depends on how you look at it. Because I would say no because ultimately things don't really get better until Jesus returns. But I would say, yes, if you're thinking in terms of, well, if we're slowing the decay, then by default that means things are getting better. But it's just a different mindset.”

#DrawToLight
“So grateful you're putting out the darkness. Like they're not gonna say that. Okay. They're gonna say things like, I don't understand you. There's something different about you. Why are you so weird? That's a good one. Okay. Okay. How come you don't get upset? How come it doesn't bother you when? How come you just always seem to be at peace? Like, do you really never have any problems? Like, they're gonna like this this this When you hear these types of things, let me translate for you. There are people who are far from God saying, tell me about your light. Would you tell me about your light? Would you tell me about what's different? There's something incredible. There's some universal principles y'all that just exist. I mean, you can argue with them with them all you want, but your arguing doesn't change. Let me give you a universal principle that exists. Things are drawn to light.”

#ReleasedAsLights
“We exist to reach people with the with the hope of Jesus. We wanna teach them to follow God's word, and then here's here's the point of all of it. Release them as lights into the world. That your purpose was never meant to just be gathered at church on a Sunday, that the purpose is that you're being released as a light into your world. And just for a moment, you have an opportunity in your world that I would never have. There are people in your world that would never listen to a pastor ever, but they'll listen to you. There are people in your world that if they observed my life, they would just dismiss it. Oh, he's just one of those fraudulent pastors. But if they see it from you, all of a sudden has legitimacy. And they begin to recognize, wait a second, there is something different. Now look, when people who are far from God recognize you as a light, they will never verbalize it that way.”

#LoveTheMarginalized
“You you just can't ignore it. You ever hang up a light on your back porch in the summer with a bunch of bugs? They don't avoid it. You would think they would avoid it. You think they'd watch the first 57 fly into the light and go, that's a bad idea. No. Right into the light. Okay. Some of you are light and you're attracting some bugs. So that sounded mean. Now here's what I mean by that. Difficult people, challenging people, people who most of their lives have been shown the door, given the stiff arm, ignored, overlooked. How would you begin to feel if that was the whole of your existence? You'd probably develop a little bit of bitterness too. You'd probably become a little difficult to deal with as well. Can I tell you one of the marks of shining your shining your light is that difficult people are drawn to you? And can I tell you why you're offering them hope?”

#EternalPerspective
“think half the planet subscribes to his YouTube channel. Alright. Something like that. It's a lot of people. Okay. I think he's here from the area here locally. So he does a lot of just different contests. Well, we did one recently. It's just absolutely it's just crazy. This is absolutely crazy. He walked into a grocery store. People are there, they're shopping, doing their thing, whatever. He just shows up unannounced in the store and make basically makes an announcement. Okay? The last person to leave this store is gonna get $250,000. Now, you imagine if you were in the store? Like you just went by on your way home from work to pick up a few things and now you're like, hold up, opportunity. Right? Send that text message, I might be a little late getting home and you just kinda see just kinda see where it goes. Well, the challenge with where it goes is there were four people who held out and made it to like sixty days.”
