#SaltOfTheEarth
“You are the salt of the earth. What is salt used for? I think you've heard this at homilies before. What is salt used for? First thing it does is it provides flavor to food, especially that is which provides nutrients. Amen? You put salt on food. Now I have to be honest with you. I haven't had to put salt on anything since I moved to Saint Clair's because father Tim was such a good cook. Amen? And as my mother always said, it is the greatest of insults to put salt on food before you taste it. Amen?”

#CalledToBeLight
“And then he says he asked us to be a light to the world. A light shines to the world. Does it not? We're called to proclaim the gospel. We're called to tell people that they should come to the church and come to our lord. We are called to proclaim the truth. But there's a reality here. We are broken, pathetic creatures. Are we not? We're hypocrites. Are we not?”
