#ImageBearersAlive
“``See, you were never created just to survive this world. You created to represent God in it. Sin has alienated all of us from that presence that gives life. And we bear God's image, but we no longer reflect him infallibly or even faithfully. Because we slip from stewardship and back into ownership. We use God's gifts for ourselves and try to produce life apart from him. And Jesus has come to reveal to us what the true image of God looks like in humanity and what it is to be the vine. And through his death and resurrection, he forgives our rebellion, he restores us to God's presence and shares life with us. United to Jesus, we're not merely given another opportunity to try harder. are made alive to become what we were created to be. Image bearers, royal priests, faithful stewards of God's creation.”

#AbideInChrist
“You see, in John 15, Jesus says that the Father is the gardener and that he is the vine and that we're the branches. Our partnership with God does not mean that we possess life or authority on ourselves. Everything we need flows from our connection to Jesus. And that's why he tells us to remain, to abide in him. Genesis shows us that we were created what we were created to do. John 15 shows us how we become capable of doing it. We cannot represent God's character without living in God's presence and being transformed by him and having our minds renewed by him. We cannot extend God's reign while disconnected from God's life, and we cannot produce the fullness of fruit in his kingdom through our own strength.”

#GardenAsTemple
“A priest isn't someone who simply or merely performs religious duties inside of a sacred building. A priest lives in God's presence, represents his character, and extends God's wise and loving reign into the world. When we put Genesis one and two together, we begin to see the world and our place in it differently than how we do when we ignore it. You see, Eden was more than a beautiful place to live. It actually was the first temple. It's where Adam and Eve lived and carried out their priestly calling in God's presence as he walked with them in the garden. It was where heaven and earth overlapped and God lived with humanity.”

#StewardshipMandate
“You see, the garden doesn't belong to Adam and Eve. Eden didn't belong to Adam and Eve. It was God's garden, but he placed them there as his representatives. It belonged to him and humanity Adam and Eve didn't create it. They didn't plan it. God did. And God invited Adam and Eve into what he had created and trusted them with the responsibility for it. And here's what I wanna say. Humanity okay. We were made in God's image and then we were entrusted with a priestly calling to steward creation for God's glory.”
