#ThroneOfGrace
“His presence before the father declares that the sacrifice has been accepted. Sin has been answered, and the way to God's presence is open. This is what makes him the perfect priest king. As king, Jesus possesses all the authority, and as priest, he uses his authority to bring you home. His throne is not a throne we must fearfully avoid because of his priestly work. It has become a throne of grace, and we're invited to approach.”

#ComeToJesus
“the Old Testament had signposts that said, look for him, the gospel says, come to him. Right? Come to Jesus. Not because you're strong, but because he lives. Come to Jesus not because you're worthy, but because his sacrifice is sufficient. Come to Jesus not because you know the way, but because he is the way. Come to Jesus with your sin, come to Jesus with your questions. Come to Jesus with your pain and with all your needs.”

#IndestructibleGrace
“His life cannot be destroyed. Indestructible life. The priesthood cannot be ended. His priesthood is, it is. His saving power cannot be exhausted. I I don't I hesitate to say this, but I think you may get it. You can't out sin his grace. Think about that. His mercy cannot run dry. Jesus does not merely rescue us from something. He brings us back into something. He brings us home into the presence of God. He restores our partnership with God and he restores the sacred calling for which we were created. And coming home is not the end of the story.”

#PerfectPriestKing
“And even if you were not with us, that signpost captures one of the great longings that I believe run through the story of scripture. And and and it's this, humanity needs a king. We all need a king. Someone with the authority to defeat the evil and establish righteousness and restore peace in our lives. But humanity also needs a priest. Someone who can deal with our sin. And someone who who can represent us before God and and bring us back into God's presence. We need more than a king who rules over us. We need more than a priest who who stands before God for us. We need a perfect priest king who can bring God's rule and God's presence back together.”
