#WalkOnWaterFaith
“``As long as Peter kept his eyes on Jesus, he did the impossible, the humanly impossible. He walked on water. But the wind, the waves, the reality of how am I doing this? This is crazy. All of those things hit him, and he looked at the world. He looked at the challenge. He looked at the obstacle. And as soon as he focused on the obstacle that he was facing, immediately he started to fall. Immediately he started to sink. Immediately he started to drown. And that is our call is is that this life, this race is very, very hard and guaranteed. Someone in this room is dealing with something that that is really, really tough right now. And if you aren't, just remember this because this next week, you might get hit with something, or this month, you might get hit with something. And the call of our text here is to fix our eyes on Jesus. As long as Peter kept his eyes on Christ, he did the impossible. He walked on water.”

#TetelestaiItIsFinished
“When do you sit down? If you're one of my students in class and I had you stand up and give an answer, when do you sit down? When you're done. When it's done. If you're doing yard work and you finally sit down to have an iced tea, it's when you're done. If you're preparing a meal tonight, Sunday dinner, you have guests that are coming over, when do you sit down? When it's done. Tetelestai, one of my favorite Greek words. It is finished, paid in full. The debt has been paid. This is Jesus' last word on the cross. Tetelestai, it is finished. It is paid in full. Jesus now sits at the right hand having completed the work that he was given to do.”

#RunYourOwnRace
“Throw it off. It's slowing you down. Christ took it to the cross, and he didn't mean for you to carry that. You guys still with me? And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Social media is great, but it shows you the best of everyone else's race. And it's very easy to look and say, wow. Look how they're doing. Look how they're doing over there. You have your own race.”

#CreatorAndFinisher
“Christ is the race creator. Right? Not only did he make the map for the race, but he actually created the course that you're running on. The terrain that you see around you in the race, he created. He did all of it. He knows the beginning of your race. He knows the end of your race. He's the pioneer creator of it. But he's also the perfecter. He is the finisher. He chose to come down and run the race himself. And in that, we can look to him as not only the race creator and not only the one who's, the judge who's ruling over the competition itself and not only the creator of the environment, but someone who came down and did the race themselves.”
