#TrustNotAmount
“I hear this a lot, and your story, Sam, makes this so clear, I hear people say, oh, I'll be generous when I have enough money. And, I just want to tell you, you will never have enough money to tithe. You will you will never. You'll never. Because every dollar I've ever made has a job. Right? Like, I was looking at boats on I went fishing last week. I was looking at boats on Craigslist yesterday. I was like, maybe I can find a real rusty used one. You know? Like, every dollar has I can find something to do with every single one of them. Right? It doesn't matter how many of them I have. It's not about how much. It's about trust. And it's that place where you see this is I am not my salvation. I am not my provider. He is. And, if you can trust him with the thing that pays the gas bill, then you can trust him with anything.”

#StewardshipMindset
“God has more space to move. So instead of thinking about your finances and saying, oh, I've gotta give God 10% of what I have. You need to flip the script and think to yourself, I own nothing. God has made me the steward of everything I have And I get to keep 90% of that and only give God back 10%. And when you can think that way, when you can flip the script, when you can find joy in the giving, that's when your relationship with God changes. And I can't tell you why except for all of the reasons we've already said, but there's something about giving God your money that changes everything.”

#MoneyToFreedom
“What what I hope the reason why we're doing this panel is what I hope that you see. And and every time we talk about money in church, we're talking about our sense of security. Right? Our sense of our sense the reason why it hurts so much to talk about money and it's uncomfortable is because it's connected to identity. It's connected to safety. It's connected to food and bills, and it's connected to how I view my future and how I view myself. Right? But the reason why there's so much freedom in it is because when you can surrender it, you see that he's the provider, that he's your security, that he's your identity, that he's your future. It sets you free”

#GenerosityGrowsYou
“and God called us to give above and beyond our tithe to take on a missionary and support them monthly. And I was like, mean, have you have you seen the checkbook? Because we're like negative $200 every single week. And he's he called us to obedience. And I learned this, that you can be a follower of God without being generous because my salvation does not have anything to do with me but everything to do with God. But I cannot be a mature Christian unless I'm living generously Because giving accelerates your spiritual growth, and generosity breeds maturity. And so without the trust in God giving, you just won't have that maturity. Gosh. Wow. Generosity breeds maturity. We need to put that on a t shirt.”
