Devotional

Sermon Summary

Sermon Clips

1) "The spirit of grace is saying, hope be. And y 'all didn't even just let that slide right over you right there. He's speaking to your soul, not to your situation. See, for the deception is this. That you believe your hope comes from above. To a better situation. I want to say it again. The belief that hope comes from your situation is deception. For your hope comes from Christ. For your hope is Christ." [34:01] (40 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

2) "He can accomplish more in a moment than you can in a lifetime. He can break barriers. He can heal wounds. We'll move on eventually. But there's no substitute for the spirit of worship in the house of God's servants and what he can do. When we just realize, you know what, I'm going to lay it all down. Pleasure, pain, triumph, tragedy. Everything that's ever identified me as less than, I'm going to lay it all down. And let him remake me as he sees fit." 3) "The greatest battles you and I will ever fight are not in the spirit. They're not in the natural. They're not with our in -laws, outlaws, cousins, neighbors. The greatest battle you and I will ever face is in our own brains. And I told you last week that if we really want to change, all we have to change is the way we think. Because if we change the way we think, it will ripple through every area of our lives. You'll be amazed at how by just tweaking the way you think will chase off the toxic relationships you have in your life." [01:10:08] (36 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

4) "God has given you both power and permission to accomplish great things. I'm going to say that again. God has given you both power and permission to accomplish great things. I forget who said it, but I'll claim it as mine. If I say it enough, it's mine. But that the people of God ought to expect great things from God. And attempt great things. And attempt great things for God. It's in you by divine impartation." [01:18:19] (37 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

5) "A growth mindset is the belief that your abilities, your intelligence and your talents can be developed through effort, learning and persistence. Meaning that what God has placed in you can be developed, but it will require faith and diligence. It will. It will require the belief that what God gave you is worth developing. Yes, sir. We got. We got to quit comparing our gifts to everyone else. It ain't about what God gave them. It's about what God gave me." [01:26:58] (40 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

6) "You can never allow, as a Christian, your past to somehow be brighter than your future. You've got to always believe there's a better day ahead. Doesn't matter what I've endured. Doesn't matter what I went through. Doesn't matter how many mistakes I've made. It doesn't matter how many people I've met. People betrayed me, walked away from me, or put obstacles in my path. There's a better day. And the promises of God are yes, and they get my amen." [01:33:43] (28 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

7) "God did not create you to be subjugated or to be enslaved by anything or anybody. But we have to develop a growth mindset. So let's continue reading the the fishing, the fish in the seas, the birds in the sky and all the livestock, wild animals and small animals. Genesis 128. So God blessed them and told them multiply. And fill the earth and do what? Does that sound like failure? No, that sounds like success." [01:17:03] (39 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)

8) "Fear listen to this. Fear is a natural response to change. But God's word assures us that he is with us. And like the Israelites facing the Red Sea, we may feel trapped but God has a plan to lead us through." [01:51:51] (15 seconds) (Download raw clip | Download cropped clip)
