True freedom is not casting off all authority. True freedom is submitting to the right authority, God’s good reign and rule. Gospel freedom does not just get sinners out of hell. Gospel freedom brings sinners home to God. Christ sets his people free from guilt, from condemnation, from the slavery of sin, and into the joy of being beloved children who belong to the Father.

If you are a believer, you are struggling with sin, be free in Christ. Be free in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit within you. Repent and turn away from your sin. You have been set free in Christ so you can come to the throne of grace fully and completely covered by the blood of Jesus. There is no condemnation.”
