#NotNowIsStillNo
“Here's the truth. Hell is full of people who intended to respond later. Hell is full of people who intended to make a decision later. I just don't wanna do it today. I don't feel comfortable. I don't feel right. Satan loves that, by the way, when you feel that way. Because delay is not neutral. Delay is still a decision. Not now is still a no. Don't kid yourself. When you don't follow Jesus, when you say not now, you are saying no.”

#DelayIsADecision
“And delay sets in, and delay can feel safe. This is a warning. Delay feels safe because you think, well, I'm not making a decision. Until it's okay, but delay is spiritually dangerous. Felix delays. He tells Paul in verse 25, he says, hey, just go away for now. Right? When I find time, I will call for you. It's the most dangerous line in this passage that we're studying this morning. Felix doesn't say no. What he's saying is not now.”

#WhatWillYouChange
“But we'd be kidding ourselves this morning if we said, well, that's Felix. That doesn't happen today. We're better. We're more civilized. Are we sure about that? Thirty seconds on social media will destroy that theory. So we need to ask ourselves, what in our lives has to change if we are to fully follow Jesus Christ? What do we have to change? Maybe ask yourself this, what are you protecting that God is confronting?”

#FaithInAction
“You see, you can sit in church long enough to be comfortable with the truth that you never apply in your life. That's the danger in the American church today. We'd like to be comfortable. We don't like it when the pastor preaches a message that convicts us, tells us to go do something with our faith because we want to be comfortable. And when we're comfortable with the truth, it says we're wrong.”

#ListenToTheSpirit
“There is a resistance to the Holy Spirit that strengthens. We start to say things like, not right now, god. I know you want me to change, but no, I'm not ready. I hear you, but I'm not gonna follow you. Simply, the heart hardens to the gospel of Jesus Christ. The same voice that once shook you eventually stops moving you. That holy spirit that once woke you up, grabbed you in the middle of the night and said, doing that. Stop living that way.”

#AlmostIsNotEnough
“Felix feels the truth. He becomes frightened. He becomes frightened because God is impressing him on him. Be a better man. But he never follows it. Felix stood close to the truth, and he still missed it by a mile. You see, almost almost being a Christian, almost knowing the truth, almost doing something is still lost. So I want us to have a moment this morning. I wanna call people into a relationship with Jesus because some of you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and savior.”

#ObedienceNotInfo
“People in this sanctuary this morning, there are people watching us online right now who are not searching anymore. They already know the truth. They found the truth. They're just deciding whether or not they're going to submit to it. They still haven't made that decision. And for those people, information is not your problem. Exposure is not your problem. Obedience is your problem. You're simply not willing to submit. You're not willing to give your life over to Christ.”

#ActOnConviction
“If anybody has a right to be upset, to yell, to scream, to cry injustice, it's Paul, and he doesn't do it. Paul just continues to speak the truth calmly, passionately, consistently. So what happens to Felix? Happens to so many of us today. Like the same conviction that Felix was feeling, that conviction of sin, it fades away. When you continue to sin, when you continue to ignore the truth, conviction just becomes white noise in the background.”
