#GraciousPast
“If you're here today and you believe in Jesus, you haven't experienced a gracious past that no one can take away from you. No one can go back and take Jesus off the cross, and he hung there for you. No one can go back and stuff Jesus into the tomb, and he was raised, vindicated, righteous king. And for you, no one can go back and redo your gracious past. And Jesus is coming again to bring all things to glory, to bring heaven to earth, to make all things right. And between that gracious past and that glorious future, Jesus sees you. He draws near to you because he loves you, and he will reveal his goodness, his glory, and his saving power through the word of God and through the sacraments, even especially at his table.”

#ForgivenAndReconciled
“But Jesus who's drawn near to them because he loves them and he loves us, Jesus who says, hey, the whole story of the bible's about me. Jesus who revealed himself in the breaking of the bread. Who is that Jesus, the breaking of the bread one? He's the one who was exposed on a tree because of our rebellion. Adam and Eve hid among the trees from the presence of God because they felt their guilt. But Jesus took our guilt upon himself, and he was hung on a tree in our place so that we would know that we are completely forgiven, reconciled to God in Jesus Christ, beloved, and cared for by him.”
