#AffirmedByGod
“``When I first planned this sermon series, I planned it back before Easter. So it's before I knew I was moving. And so my plan with this whole series was kind of to focus on Psalm one thirty nine and talk about all the ways that God is affirming us and God affirms everyone as they are and welcomes us in and loves us as we are and hopefully transforms us all. And so that is what my aim was whenever I first planned this sermon series, but it's turned into kind of a way for me to say goodbye and reflect with you guys on a lot of,”

#Psalm139Truths
“And it's because in Psalm one thirty nine, we've gotten we've heard these words throughout the past month. It's very beautiful. It's, you know, you hem me in. You love me. Where can I go from your presence? Where can I flee from your spirit? You're always with me. You've knit me together in my mother's womb. You've created me. It's a very beautiful sentiment about that David is writing in the Psalms about how God loves him and God is with him. But then it seems to take a turn for the worst in this last little section. David says, I hope all the wicked people die.”

#ConflictedPrayer
“You know, he's like praying to God like, oh, God, you love me so much, and I hope everyone dies. You know, it gets like a it's it's not a very pretty situation. Right? And so he has this whole idea this whole thing where he says, pray that the wicked would, you know, perish and anyone who is your enemy God is my enemy God and we like need to stand I'm standing against the people who dislike you. Right? And so that's the whole thing. But then he goes on to say, search me, oh god. And if there's any wicked ways in me, like, remove them from me.”

#CalledToRighteousness
“So he after he prays, you know, this wicked prayer, he prays that God would come into his heart and make sure that no wickedness is in him. And so I wanna talk about this concept today. We're talking about righteousness. Today's sermon is titled, you are called to righteousness. I said it before, but I'll say it again. Righteousness just means right relationship. So we are called to be in the right type of relationship with God and with each other.”
