39s
“I need to forget it. And I I and here's here's what we all need to do. We have things. Think about a rearview mirror. If you're driving that answer this question honestly. If you're driving down the road and all you do is stare at the rearview mirror, what's gonna happen? You're gonna crash. Right? You're you're not gonna get where you're intended to go. You're gonna have a wreck if all you're doing is looking in the rearview mirror. And there's some of you here this morning in the live. Here's what you're doing in your life. You're looking in the rearview mirror, and God says, forget it. Put that behind you.”
41s
“If so, do that today. Because if you are a believer in Jesus Christ, what you're doing, you're doing it not to gain perfection. You are doing it because Jesus has already obtained perfection for you. You are just pressing towards it. When Paul says, let us hold true to what we obtained, he's pointing us back to where he started, Remembering that perfection is found only in Jesus. That should never be forgotten, and we should always go back to that. When you do, you find hope and you find joy.”
33s
“Y'all get that. See, Jesus took your sin for you, and then he paid its price, a completely perfect exchange. And I want you to truly grasp this because I believe even Christians have a hard time fully embracing this truth. Even longtime Christians still wanna hold on to a measure of self righteousness. But God's grace means my righteousness is all about Jesus and nothing about me.”
