32s
“And you live in that confidence every day. I realize your life may be full of uncertainties. There are plenty of doubts. We don't know absolutely what's gonna happen the rest of the day, let alone tomorrow. But you know this, Christ is your savior from sin. You have forgiveness. You are righteous before God, and eternal life in heaven is yours. Go in that confidence. Christianity is absolutely true.”
44s
“Obviously, I am not urging you to try and obey the law in order to make yourself right with Christ. Obviously, I'm not telling you this morning to go out and find the righteousness of your own. It doesn't exist. Obviously, I'm not telling you simply to hope in eternal life. Although I've heard that far too often from Christians, I hope I get to heaven. Christ wants you to be certain. Absolutely certain. Because it depends nothing on you, everything on him, and he's done everything. There's nothing left for him to do in order for you to spend eternal life with him. And that means there's also nothing left for you to make yourself right with God.”
55s
“You have been blessed with the word of God. God's truth from God himself, and this is the central truth of that word. Yes, you've got an eternal problem. It's called sin. But I have an eternal solution. It's called righteousness, and it comes by faith in Jesus Christ. And you know what? You're sitting here as people who have that faith and therefore have that righteousness. God declares you not guilty by faith in Jesus Christ. What a beautiful teaching that is. Christianity stands on it. You are not guilty by faith in Jesus Christ. What a truth.”
