33s
“``You see riches according to verse four are no help when facing the wrath of God. You may be the wealthiest man or woman in Montgomery County and you may wear it as a badge of honor. But the foolish trust in wealth which cannot help them face judgment. There's nothing wrong with having things but everything is wrong when things have you. You see money can buy you almost anything that you want in this world but it will not buy you even a drop of water in the world to come.”
38s
“righteous living will produce character. Righteous living living righteously choosing wisdom will produce character in your heart and in your life. It has been said that character is who you and I are in the dark. It's who we are when we're alone and no one's there but us and God. You see we can try to put on a show at church and we can try to smile and put on our Sunday best and make people think we've got it all together. But God sees our heart and God knows our heart and God knows who we are. You see reputation is what man thinks you are. Reality is what God knows you are.”
54s
“But what he is saying is this, watch a lot of the problems come about because of our own unrighteous living. And there are many times we make unwise choices. We face the consequences and then we shake our fist in the face of God so as to blame him for the trouble that befalls us because of our own unwise choices. Who's listening? If I get on the roof and I jump off, it's not wise. And I want you to know I'll be on the way to hospital if I live and I'll be in traction. And shame on me for blaming God in anger and in frustration for saying, God if you love me, why did you allow this to happen? When I'm the foolish person that got on the roof and jumped. Is anyone awake listening? Say amen. You see you live your life foolishly against God and against his word. Don't you dare blame him when trouble comes your way.”
42s
“Some of you may say, well, I'll tell you what, man. That's being an entrepreneur. That's being crafty. That's being clever. That's making money. And I want everyone in the room who's awake right now? Are y'all all okay? You say, well, I'm a clever shrewd businessman that knows how to make money. But God says if you're dishonest, it's an abomination. You say, well, preacher, is there anything wrong with making money? There's nothing wrong with making money, but what the Proverbs are teaching us is this, when it comes to a choice of making money or being right and being honest, you better choose being honest.”
