#SitAtHisFeet
“Like, when's the last time you and I just sat at his feet? We had no agenda. We had no fix my problems. You were the Christ, son of the most high god. All that peace you're looking for is found in him, just so you know. It's not found in all your problems getting solved because there'll be another one tomorrow. It's founded sitting at his feet. That's the peace. That's the presence of the power of Jesus still today.”

#RepentAndRemember
“So maybe today for you, this altar is an altar of repentance where you've forgotten who Jesus really wants to be in your life. He's been more of a genie than a king. maybe you just need to sit and let your father who deeply loves you remind you this morning that he's with you. He's not forgotten about you. He's not giving up on you.”

#MessiahFulfilled
“You know, why? It's because they didn't look to who Jesus was really. They they had a they imagined him coming as a warrior, solving all their problems, setting them free from the Roman Empire. That's what a lot of them has is what they thought the Christ would be. So when he wasn't that, when he showed up through a virgin named Mary, there's one of the prophecies. When he lived a sinless life, there's another. When he went to the cross for you and I, he paid the punishment of sin that only you and or that you and I could never pay, only he could. And then David rose again three days later, which is why which separates him from any other god, by the way.”

#CheckYourHeart
“No shame, but, like, if you get bored with a message like this that just talks about Jesus, I would check your heart, not mine. That's good. That's good. I don't have six steps today to make your marriage better, but I can point you to the one who does.”

#WhoIsTheChrist
“The simplicity of what I'm trying to get across with this chapter and passage of scripture and who Jesus is, is that we can be sitting in a room just like the Pharisees assuming we understand the identity of who Jesus is and be somewhat accurate, but also miss it. Who is the Christ? And whose son is he? Do you know how many people have gotten to their funeral and got this answer wrong? Yeah. Hush in the room, and it probably should be. The reality is that there have been many people that have gone before us who have got this wrong and who are living in a place, listen, not for just some time, but eternity completely separated from the father.”

#CreedOverComfort
“And don't let this atmosphere fool you because we get to come in here with great worship and loudspeakers, lights, this amazing new screen. We get to come in here, and we get to stand, and we get to read this creed together. Let's be honest, not much is at stake right now for you and I. But this creed would have been written when Christianity was illegal, which means you would have lost your life believing what this creed said. Now just so you know, there is places around the world that you still will lose your life believing this creed. So as you I'm not I'm not meaning to make it dark, but I think there needs to be a great realization in your heart and mind that this is not just so yeah. I believe that. No. No. No. Like, I believe this to my core, man. Like, I no. Nothing is gonna change this. Even if my life was at stake, I believe this to the core so much that I could never deny it.”

#IdentityInChrist
“And the reason why is because identity is so important. Why is it that you think the enemy is after your identity? He's after who you are or who you think you are. Because he knows if he can get you to believe a certain thing about yourself, he's got you. Like, if you don't have the mind frame, what a great word. If you don't have the mind frame, as Alexis was saying, to realize that the enemy is already under your feet, you're gonna keep going into battle thinking that he might win. And your identity is found more in what he's doing in your life than your identity resting in the blood of Jesus being spilled out for your life.”

#MakeItPersonalFaith
“Just so we're clear, this doesn't start by saying we believe. It's a personal I believe. I was raised in a fabulous home. I had great parents. I was raised up in this church, but I'm a promise you there came a point in my life where I had to choose for my personal self. This is what I believe. Come on, somebody. Which means you could be sitting in this church for years. That's right. That's right. And never made the personal I believe.”
