#DependOnChrist
“``See, leadership doesn't begin with trying harder. God doesn't want you to try harder in your relationships. God doesn't want you to wear yourself out trying to be better. Instead, God wants you to depend on Christ. The way a lot of people like to define grace is God's riches at Christ's expense. And, it's not that that's not true, but that leaves us with a self centered understanding of grace. That grace is about us. Grace isn't about us. Grace is about God because grace is the work that God does in you and the work that God does through you.”

#PlantSeedsNotFlags
“My prayer this week hasn't been that we'd simply learn a few leadership principles. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will begin changing the way we think. Because when our thinking changes, our leadership changes. When our leadership changes, people around us change. And that's why the kingdom leaders invest for legacy because they think differently. So, week, receive his grace. Right? Invest in someone, embrace the cost, and listen to the holy spirit, and plant seeds that outlive you. Because kingdom leaders don't spend their lives planting flags that point to themselves. They plant seeds that point people to Jesus.”

#LegacyOfSeeds
“Paul was teaching Timothy to plant seeds, not flags, and that raises this question for every one of us. What kind of a leader creates a lasting legacy? And as soon as I said that, I I thought, you know, wait a minute. Maybe lasting legacy isn't the right idea. What kind of a leader creates legacy? That's probably a better way of talking about this. Something that lives past us and continues to point people to Jesus even long after we're gone, long after people remember our names or recognize our face in a video. So whether you're a parent, a grandparent, teacher, coach, ministry leader, employer, employee, neighbor, or friend, friend, God has entrusted people to your influence. The question isn't whether you'll leave a legacy. The question is, are you planting flags that point to yourself or seeds that point to Jesus? Jesus.”

#LiveLoveLeadLikeJesus
“See, if you haven't picked up on it yet, here's what I'm trying to say this morning. Kingdom leaders invest in people, trusting God to produce the harvest that outlives them. We faithfully plant and cultivate. God brings the lasting fruit. Right? As we walk through this passage, I hope you notice that Paul never gives Timothy a leadership formula. He doesn't say, here's seven steps to becoming a better leader. Instead, he reshapes the way Timothy thinks. He's reshaping the way you and I think. Just stop a minute and let's let's just think about what we've learned. Kingdom leaders don't depend on ourselves. We depend on grace. Kingdom leaders don't simply gather followers. We invest in others. Kingdom leaders don't avoid the cost. We embrace the mission, the process, and God's timing. Right? So how do we become that kind of a person? How do we keep growing into the kind of leader that Christ is calling us to be? Because we need to live, love, and lead like Jesus. Not just me. All of us.”
