True power in ministry does not come from human talent or polished presentations, but from the anointing of the Holy Spirit. It is the presence and power of God that brings genuine freedom and breaks the chains that bind people. Human effort alone, no matter how impressive, cannot accomplish what the Spirit of God can do in a moment. Our greatest need is not for more information, but for a fresh encounter with His presence. [45:47]
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. (Acts 1:8 ESV)
Reflection: In what areas of your life or service have you been relying on your own strength or gifting instead of actively seeking and depending on the anointing of the Holy Spirit?
The gifts and talents we possess were not given for our own recognition or advancement. They are divine tools entrusted to us for a single purpose: to create an atmosphere that draws people closer to the Lord. Music, in particular, has a unique power to open hearts and usher in the presence of God, setting the stage for transformation. Our role is to be intentional stewards of these gifts for His glory alone. [48:23]
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31 ESV)
Reflection: How can you intentionally redirect the use of your gifts this week—whether in your work, creativity, or relationships—away from self-promotion and toward drawing others to encounter Jesus?
God often calls us to step out of our comfortable, predictable lives to embrace the unique assignment He has for us. This path requires faith and may not make immediate sense to our natural understanding, but it leads to the most fulfilling life possible. Saying "yes" to God is about trusting that His purpose for you is bigger than your own plans and that He will provide everything you need to fulfill it. [01:13:12]
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 ESV)
Reflection: What is one step of faith, outside of your comfort zone, that you sense God is inviting you to take regarding His calling on your life?
When we say "yes" to God, the impact extends far beyond our own lives. Our obedience sets in motion a chain of events that can affect countless others for eternity. What may feel like a small, personal decision of faith can be the very thing God uses to bring hope, healing, and salvation to many. Our surrender is never just about us; it is about participating in God’s redemptive work in the world. [01:19:09]
And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. (Isaiah 30:21 ESV)
Reflection: Who in your sphere of influence might be impacted by your obedience to God’s call, and how does that reality encourage you to be faithful?
The journey of faith requires keeping our focus firmly on Jesus, not on the surrounding circumstances or opinions of others. He is both the one who begins the good work in us and the one who will bring it to completion. In seasons of waiting or uncertainty, we can find strength and direction by fixing our gaze on Him, trusting in His perfect timing and process. [01:50:37]
Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12:2 ESV)
Reflection: What practical habit can you develop this week to consistently redirect your focus from your challenges back onto Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith?
Worship invites the Holy Spirit and demands more than polite attendance; it requires passion, intentionality, and a willingness to be undignified before God. The local church provides the soil for spiritual growth: being planted in a congregation produces maturity, accountability, and opportunities for gifts to flourish. Musical ability serves the kingdom when musicians play from the spirit rather than for fame or performance; anointing, not volume or technique, breaks strongholds and opens atmospheres for God’s presence. Wisdom matters—Ephesians 5:15 and related passages call believers to live shrewdly, make the most of every opportunity, and seek God’s will actively rather than drift with culture. Comfort and convenience threaten obedience; following God often asks for a costly yes that rearranges careers, schedules, and priorities, but that yes widens impact beyond personal gain.
Scripture anchors the summons: the rich young ruler illustrates how moral religion without surrender still falls short; Jesus looks for wholehearted follow-through, not resume credentials. Practical faith involves steps—sometimes small, sometimes risky—that demonstrate trust in God’s provision (Matthew 6:33; Exodus examples). Prayer, dreams, and visions remain crucial ways the Spirit directs next moves, while pastoral shepherding and communal support help clarify and equip those called into new seasons. Hebrews 12:2 functions as a compass: keep eyes fixed on Jesus as author and finisher, especially when progress seems slow. The promise emerges clearly—when believers exchange safety for obedience, God tends to redirect circumstances, bring unexpected provision, and multiply influence for kingdom purposes.
The overall summons presses toward forward motion: stay planted, embrace conviction without condemnation, steward gifts for God’s glory, and answer calls with a fresh yes. The greatest seasons often lie ahead when hearts reorient from self-protection to trust, and when communities rally to disciple, correct, and send those who step out in faith.
He say, come this morning because I have great and mighty things to show you. And if you keep it in your mind, you will miss it. If you keep it under the comfortable umbrella of your family and of your finances and of your comfortable zone, you will miss the miraculous. But God says, I have more for you, and this is a narrow path. It's a narrow path. It's narrow. It's uncomfortable, and sometimes it's gonna feel like you're the only one on that path. But the truth is is you're not alone because he said I would never leave you nor forsake you. And God has a way that when you just step into your yes, God has a way to finding things to get to you, people that'll get to you. Come on. Conversations that'll get to you, finances that'll get to you, favor that will get to you.

I can't say that it's all gonna make sense in your mind. I can't say that your family is gonna fully understand it. Hear my heart. I'm not ever saying being foolish and being unwise and being stupid, but I am saying that when you say yes to him, everything will work out if you keep your eyes on him. It'll work out. Maybe not in your timing, but things that I'm walking in today, I wanted twenty years ago, but it wasn't the time because I wasn't ready. I thought I was ready. In my mind, I thought I was ready. I felt like I was in my prime. I'm ready to go, but I was still needing preparation. I still needed to get planted. I needed to get submitted, and I still am, by the way.

I would rather I don't wanna miss god, but I would rather fall flat on my face trying to follow him than just stay safe. Does that make sense? Like, I don't wanna miss him, but I would rather like, god, I'm trying. Come on. I'm walking. I'm trying to follow you. I believe he honors that. And if we would just move forward, come on. He will help us. And sometimes as we move forward, he might say, I'll go this way. Okay. At least I'm moving. I'm trying. I'm moving. I'm not gonna play it safe and just say, god, move in my life. God, I'm walking. And I ask you to direct my steps, be a lamp unto my feet. Come on. As the bible says, highlight into my path.

And if more musicians and singers would quit trying to become somebody and realize that you already are somebody in Christ, that you don't have to get discovered because you already are. People don't need me. They don't need you. They need him. And it's not the gift that breaks the yoke. As Isaiah says, it says, it's the anointing that breaks the yoke. So, my heart this morning is just the flow with the anointing. I've got about 14 different sermons that I have kinda brewing.

Thank god he doesn't just say, man, it's bad out there. Religion will just say, you know, it's bad out there and whoo, you know, Mike, it'll just get better when you get to heaven. That's not the gospel. Religion will say, you know, it'll all get better when you get to heaven but guys, it can get better today. Because as heaven, you know, what what did Jesus say? Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I'm not saying you won't have trials and tribulations. The Bible's very clear about that but he also said, but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world. Amen.

We know that guys, I'm not here to say that he's coming back tomorrow but I am here to let you know he's coming back soon. Guys, and I'm not trying to scare you because I've been told this since I've been a little kid. We've all heard this. Jesus is coming back. Right? And you're like, please wait till I get married. Be honest. Lord, please wait until after my wedding night. It's okay. We've all thought that. I did. But he's coming back. Guys, he's coming back. Not to be scared but we we the Bible does declare that we should look up for our redemption is drawing not which means that in this season of life, we can't just do everything anymore. We can't just go everywhere. We gotta say, lord, what is it that you want me to do? Help me be wise with my life.

#LiveReadyForJesus
As Hebrews fourteen four thirteen says, for the word of god is alive, living, active, sharper than any two edged sword. It pierces between joint and marrow, and it judges even the intentions of the heart. As Jesus was preaching, it wasn't just words. It was cutting this dude to the core. He was like, oh my gosh. This guy is getting in my business. Have you been there? When someone's preaching or God's dealing, it's like it's getting in your business. I was there. God was in my business and telling me to get out of this corporate world and to follow him. He was getting in my business, and I could feel it.

But that is the life god has called us to live. A life of faith that god, if you don't come through because I don't wanna just make my life comfortable because if you live, if you strive to be comfortable, you will miss the will of god for your life. I'm not saying we need to be foolish. That's not my intention But wisdom is following the lord. And your mind is gonna freak out. Your mind is gonna scream at you. You're gonna have family members that feel like it is the will of god for their life to tell you how you're wrong. Amen. That's why you gotta be careful, Joseph, not to share your dreams with everyone. I
