#MatureFaithListening
“So as a mature believer, you're expected to hear from God. You're demonstrate and live that way, that lifestyle, especially if you're a leader. And then others will see what God is doing with you and follow that example. It's a beautiful picture in that sense. But don't condemn yourself if it doesn't happen as quickly as you'd like because God revealed things to you at your pace in his time. And maybe it's not depending on you. Maybe something else needs to happen in something farther down the line and God's waiting for that to happen. It's not it's not all about you.”

#TrustTheNudge
“Because sometimes that oh, hang on. There's just a niggle there. Just something that isn't quite right. Then that niggle becomes a revelation. It's not a niggle. It's the voice of God. Or, yeah, I've got total peace about this. This is totally the antithesis of what other people would say, blah blah blah, whatever. But you know, either because God will speak or because God will confirm it with peace and joy.”

#GraceAndConsequences
“Our God is an incredible, amazing God. And if God treated me as my actions deserve, I wouldn't be standing here today and neither would any of you be able to do this either. But God says in Psalm 103 that as far as the East is from the West, so far have I removed your transgressions from you. The blood that Jesus shed on the cross of Calvary was powerful and effective to cleanse us from sin and to restore our relationship with God. It is incredible and amazing. But our actions as I said before still have consequences.”

#IntimacyWithGod
“And yet, he delights to include us as, you know, he wants to be a father to us. He wants to be a friend with us. But he never ceases to be God. But in that in that incredible dimension of him being God and us not being God, wants that intimacy of connection and communion and relationship with him. That's what he wants with you. Allow it to happen. And give yourself self space to get it wrong. K? You won't always get it right.”

#TrustDespiteLetdowns
“You can't ignore the things that we do. You know, learned in ministry over the years that you will get let down. You will get let down. Rean used to say to me, well, why are you trusting that person? Because that person's let you down. And I said, they have, but they might change. If I can trust people 10 times, get let down four times, then it's worked six times. And in the four times where it doesn't work, I experience the goodness and the graciousness of God.”

#TestEveryProphecy
“But we need to make sure that we're hearing right. One Thessalonians five verse just I hope you know how the annotations of of barber verses work. So t h is abbreviation for Thessalonians, which I'm really grateful because I can't spell Thessalonians. I tried it and I put one t h. So one Thessalonians five twenty says, do not scoff at prophecies, but test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good. That is very important when people speaking to your life.”

#TimedRevelation
“what was right for them at that moment in time when the season was right. And then, obviously, they went back to Jerusalem and were instrumental in God's revelation moving it forwards. The revelation wasn't just for them. It was for wider church as well. Beautiful story. Then it's a perfect picture of God revealing things to us in our ways and at the appropriate time. And sometimes we really have to press into to what's going on.”

#GodWontContradictHisWill
“If you have to contravene scripture, like you have to lie, or steal, or manipulate, or force people, ask none of God. God will not say something, ordain something, and then contravene his will to to enable it to make it happen. Now I know that there are some challenging verses in scripture like when David at the show read, the witch end or there are one or two things, but if you don't dig a little bit deeper, there are answers and there are explanations.”
