EF Scott called Revelation the trumpet called to Faith the book was written to strengthen the faith and the courage of John's fellow Believers in Christ in the context of first Thessalonians and the Rapture Paul tells Believers to encourage one another with these words these words aren't for like Doom and Gloom and despair and depression but it's supposed to build one another up right it's supposed to encourage one another it's supposed to help us because we have the hope of Jesus Christ and the return of Christ it just isn't this Doom and Gloom thing for believers that is so so embeded in our culture today the return of Christ isn't Doom and Gloom it's the hope of eternal life. [00:01:24]

The Book of Revelation is filled with imagery right it's filled with symbolism it's filled with metaphors that just open up the mind to the very hearts of God and this is why it's important this is why it's crucial to focus when John says throughout Revelation I turned and I saw and I heard he says that so much so often he says I turn and I saw and I heard and those are windows being open up in pictures God wants us to see in the Book of Revelation is perhaps the most misunderstood book yet it's the book that has the most movies articles videos on about it. [00:05:00]

The sovereignty of God is and when we know that God is on the throne and we are not we live a life that has this New Perspective you know it's not about me myself and I but it's about the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit and we just have this reorientation that we are to Focus On Christ and the prize that he has for each and every single one of us and that's one theme that I believe the Book of Revelation focuses on is the sovereignty of God. [00:14:03]

Revelation bids us to consider the kindness and the sternness of God I love what Romans 11:22 says it says note then the kindness and the severity of God severity toward those who have fallen but God's kindness to you provided you continue in his kindness otherwise you too will be cut off wow that's powerful isn't it it calls us to persevere to the end and you shall be saved we always have to stay connected to this power source. [00:16:30]

He is the faithful witness he is loyal he is trustworthy he is true he is the same yesterday today and forever he does not change he does not lie he is faithful even when we are not can you just picture that he is faithful even when we are not when we are are faithful he is faithful he is good he is true he is loyal he is trustworthy he is the same yesterday today and forever and there's a lot of things that are going to change you know know people are going to betray us people are going to turn their backs on us people are going to break our trust but One Thing Remains the Same and that is the love of God that he is the faithful one that he is the faithful witness. [00:18:02]

Jesus rose from the dead Christ and his resurrection shows us that we can stand firm in our faith right and not doubt because we know he has risen from the dead we know our Victory is coming death and hat is cannot keep him the grave could not contain him and the devil could not stop him amen church we have our Victory in Jesus Christ and the blood that he spilled on Calvary and when life seems to bury us we can walk out of death into this newness of life we can strip off these old dirty disgusting grave clothes and walk in and put on the robe of righteousness in Christ that covers our sin. [00:19:07]

Jesus is this all powerful King he was Victorious and battle glorious and peace Satan had tried to tempt Jesus with this offer of ruing all the nations all the world all this could be yours if we just bow down to me that was the Temptation that Satan gave Jesus right if you bow down to me if you just submit to my authority all this can be yours right and I think we have the same temptation for us today know Satan loves to show us different things in media and or people or things that come across her eyes and Satan says all this can be yours you can have the glories of the earth if you will just bow down to me and submit to me but we got to resist that Temptation in Christ just as Jesus refused it. [00:20:01]

Jesus did the most loving thing someone can do for us right he gave up his very own life what does the scripture say there is no greater love than this than the man who would lay down his life for his friends and he gives us this perfect example of what sacrificial love looks like this is a sacrificial love that we should be showing to our spouses this is sacrificial love that we should be shown to our children to our grandchildren to the bank t to the grocery clerk to everybody we encounter to the that person who cuts us off in traffic you know amen I heard a few amens there and sometimes it can be so hard and difficult to show this sacrificial love but we need to allow ourselves to be checked by the Holy Spirit. [00:21:34]

Jesus had set us free from the sin that we have committed by his blood that is through his death on the cross he has washed and cleansed Us by the Wonder workking precious power and blood of the lamb and the word of his testimony as John 8:36 says if the son sets you free you will be free indeed amen amen the son set you free you will be free indeed and know what I noticed a lot of times Satan loves to remind us of our past Satan loves to remind us of what we've done wrong and the sin that we have overcome but I remember this quote that said every time Satan reminds you of your past remind him of his future because we are victorious in Jesus Christ and Satan loses in the end right. [00:23:38]

The Book of Revelation and the hope that we have as followers of Jesus Christ that one day there will be no more tears no more sorrow no more pain no more Agony no more death and we will have the hope of glory because we know the god of glory amen church so we have nothing to fear we have nothing to worry about we have nothing to have anxiety about because God covers all and he's in all and he is by all and he is through all and we could testify to God God of Grace and mercies because he renews them every single day. [00:33:18]

He has given us everything necessary to live a Godly life he he said you know the same power that Rose me from the dead is available in you wow and he calls us to just live in that power live in that life to live in this Garden this and trust him with the outcome right because he cares and he loves us like no one else he is faithful he is true he is good he is glorious he is Our Redeemer he is our sanctifier and he loves us more than anybody else could even imagine he loved us so much what like this right this is how much he loved us he outstretched his arms on a cross for our sin and that's something that we can never ever take for granted never ever because his grace abounds much more so than our sin.
