#CrossAtonement
“``While Jesus is on the cross, it grew dark. While Jesus is on the cross, he cries, I thirst, and they hand him something bitter. They handed him the wormwood to drink, the myrrh. While Jesus is on the cross, he bears the full weight of judgment for sin. He bears the full weight of this blast of the trumpet. For you and for me. He took our place. He absorbs the ultimate woe so you could receive the trumpets of his grace.”

#DayOfSalvation
“my question is for you this day, will you heed the warning? If you're here today and you've never given your life to Jesus Christ, if you've just been living as an inhabitant of our earth seeking your satisfaction in the things of this world, I plead with you, listen to the alarm. Don't wait for the final trumpet. Do not assume we have tomorrow. Today is the day of salvation. Turn from your sin. Abandon your self sufficiency and run to the cross of Jesus where mercy is free and secure. Security is eternal.”

#OneThirdMercy
“Did you see that word one third? You're going to hear this over and over. I want you to underline one third and here's why, it's going to be used 12 times. One third. By one third you can write mercy. You see my friends, one third judgment is limited judgment. It's restrained. God restrains his hand. He has the ability to wipe it all out, but this is not the final wrath. It is a severe, merciful, warning shot saying, repent. Repent. Two thirds of you are left. Repent.”

#TrumpetsOfMercy
“And if we're to be honest, this is where revelation becomes uncomfortable. You see, we like we like it when when we have verses about love and grace and mercy and comfort. But as an evangelical free church, we believe in the whole counsel of God. We believe that God's holiness is just as beautiful as his love, and that his justice is just as perfect as his mercy. So today, want you to see that these sounds of the trumpets, these terrifying sounds of the trumpets are actually sounds of mercy. God is going to shake the creation to wake up the creature. He is going to do this to warn humanity before the final irreversible judgment falls.”
