#DoubtVsGrace
“Those that were cynical in Jesus' time were the pharisees. They watched every move Jesus made and they questioned it. People were healed. And the pharisees sowed seeds of doubt and said, but are they worthy of it? Was it done the right way on the right day? Estranged people were forgiven and brought back into the family of God. And, again, the fear was right behind it talking about how their presence was going to weaken the system that had been built. Are we really gonna let pharisees were we gonna let really, really let Samaritans back into this group? People were lining the streets celebrating what they now understood as the promised savior bringing all people into right relationship with God, and the pharisees wrote in a complaint to Pilate. You see what's happening over there? We didn't authorize this. You better do something.”

#KnowHisVoice
“They would scream sing this song around our house, and I'm gonna sing it as they would sing it. But they would go, my nip ear my voice. My nip ear my voice, and I know them, and I know them. Saying my sheep hear my voice. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them. To trust the voice of Jesus, we have to know the voice of Jesus who we believe continues to call his sheep into his arms. Even death can't stop his voice. To know his voice, we need to show up in real life.”
