#ResurrectedLife
“``When Jesus proclaims and says, I am the resurrection and the life, he is changing everything. He's changing everything because it means that, actually, death doesn't have a hold on us anymore. We don't have to fear death. We don't have to be grabbed by it and held by it. He actually came to restore and to resurrect and to bring things back so that we can live life to the full like he designed it, like he wanted all along.”

#HopeBeyondDeath
“Jesus weeps the sight of pain and sin. This is not how it was meant to be. We live in a broken world. We live where there is death because death is a consequence of sin. There's no getting around that. In Romans, Paul writes for the wages of sin is death. But we actually trust in a Jesus who says, I am the resurrection and the life, and I came to defeat death and to defeat sin for all time, not just once, but for all time. That is the hope that we have.”

#EternalLifeStartsNow
“When we face death as followers of Jesus, we do not face it without hope. Paul told the Thessalonians reminding them of this truth that Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. Sadly, we will die in this life and people that we love too, but you and I know the rest of the story. We know the hope that we have because of Jesus, and we hold on to that. But we don't confuse the glimpse of this life. We don't confuse that this life is all that there is. We don't think this is it. We actually believe that eternal life starts now, and it continues on to eternity forever. It does not end.”

#WhenGodFeelsAbsent
“Ever felt like that with God and that disappointment? If only you had shown up, if you'd had just come when I needed you, if you'd have just come when I asked, and I prayed, and I I begged, and I reached out to you, God, but you didn't show up, or it felt like you didn't show up. And now I am left with pain and death.”

#RestoreYourHope
“I believe today that there are some of us here who have lost that hope. We've actually lost the hope. We felt like Mary. We've just stayed. Something's happened in our lives, and we've just decided to stay. We haven't gone back out to meet with Jesus. We haven't gone back out because we've sat in the doubt and the disappointment. We've stopped believing. We did used to think that Jesus was the resurrection and the life, but we've stopped believing that because we've been disappointed. And today, what I wanna offer and say to you is that you can actually have that restored. You can come forward. You can have prayer with somebody beside you, but, actually, you can ask the Lord to renew that again today, afresh today.”

#JesusDefeatsDeath
“You see, Victor Frankenstein was on and in search of something. He did not know that the answer was actually in Jesus. But are we much different? In our world, are we much different? If the desire is to put endless amounts of money into prolonging life, trying to defeat death because we don't know the truth either that Jesus has already defeated death. Jesus did this by doing it on the cross. He defeated death and sin. He is the resurrection and the life.”

#GodNeverGivesUp
“What I love about the Lord is he never gives up on us. He never changes. He's always pursuing us. So even though you might have stayed, later on in that passage, it says that Mary went out to meet with him. You can be that. You might have stayed, but you can get up and you can move today, and you can actually have that restored again and renewed in you again today. You can ask the holy spirit to come. People can pray with you if you feel like you don't even have the words today. Someone can pray with you for that to be restored for you, to renew that belief that Jesus is the resurrection and the life, and that he has got life and liberty for you.”

#ResurrectedHope
“This morning, as we dig deep into the statement of Jesus, I want us to rediscover or to discover for the very first time that there is a resurrected hope, a resurrected life, resurrected liberty in this truth that Jesus claims today. He really is the resurrection and the life. Therefore, we don't have to fear death, but also we have a hope of life eternal that begins right now.”
