#EasterSpeaks
“Easter speaks another language and tells another story. Easter says that the crucified one lives. That the stone is rolled away. That the women run with joy and trembling. That Galilee awaits. And that the world itself has been breached by the living God. And that's why this old, wild, dazzling gospel won't go away. For it is the deepest truth of reality itself disclosed in Jesus Christ. It is, if you will, the truest fairy tale too good not to be true for Christ is risen.”

#JoyWithoutApology
“We need it when grief has lingered so long that we can scarcely imagine joy without apologizing for it. Well, Easter gives no such apology. It announces joy anyway and it sends trembling people into a wounded world with a message on their lips and resurrection in their bones. Easter bids us take hold again of courage, of compassion, of truth telling, of solidarity with the suffering, rooted in the stubborn conviction that the world can be made new because God has already begun the work.”
