31s
“Many of us think that because we doubt, because we're uncertain, because we're confused, we must we must be too far from God to be of any use to God. But it's that very confusion, that very doubt that makes us open to the new things that God may be doing in the world around us. It makes us humble before God in such a way that God can do something surprising and altogether unexpected because of what he has to do with us.”
40s
“So Jesus is not absent, he's just not seen in the ways that we expect a resurrected savior to command the airways or to command the world stage. Instead, Jesus continues to do the work in the same way that he did it when he was among his disciples on earth, quietly, lovingly, gently, with encouragement, helpful to those who felt weak, ready with a clear word for those who were confused, giving invitation to those who felt like they were on the margins and too far away from God.”
