The spirit God has given us is not one of timidity, fear, or weakness. It is a spirit of power, love, and self-discipline. This divine empowerment resides within every believer, enabling us to live boldly and love courageously. It is the very nature of God Himself, deposited inside us to overcome the challenges of this world. We are designed to operate from a place of strength and soundness of mind, not from a place of fear. This truth allows us to walk in the authority and confidence that is our inheritance in Christ. [47:37]
For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
2 Timothy 1:7 (ESV)
Reflection: What is one specific area of your life where you have been operating from a spirit of fear rather than the spirit of power God has given you? How can you consciously choose to walk in His power and love in that situation today?
A powerful kingdom resides within every believer. This is not a future event to wait for, but a present reality to be activated. The kingdom of God is Jesus Christ living in you by faith, and it holds everything you could ever need for life and godliness. You have the capacity to change your circumstances by extracting from this internal kingdom. It is a source of light and peace that remains unaffected by the darkness of the world. Your daily choice is to draw from this divine reservoir through prayer and His Word. [49:51]
Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”
Luke 17:20-21 (ESV)
Reflection: In what practical way can you intentionally "extract" from the kingdom of God within you this week, especially when faced with a difficult circumstance?
Just as the land of Goshen had light while Egypt was covered in darkness, you are called to be a place of light in a dark world. The circumstances around you do not have to dictate the reality within you. You carry the presence of God, which brings peace that surpasses all understanding. This peace guards your heart and mind, allowing you to remain steadfast when chaos abounds. Your life can be a testimony of God's protective and sustaining power. [59:04]
But the Lord will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt, so that nothing of all that belongs to the people of Israel shall die.
Exodus 9:4 (ESV)
Reflection: Where have you recently allowed external darkness to dim the light of God's peace within you? What is one step you can take to guard your heart and mind with His peace today?
Trusting God requires leaning not on your own understanding but wholly on His character and promises. Your own reasoning can lead to fear and poor choices, but God's understanding is perfect and leads to life. This trust is a decision to believe that God is always working behind the scenes, even when you cannot see it. It is the foundation for a life of peace and confidence, knowing He holds you in the palm of His hand. [01:01:27]
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5 (ESV)
Reflection: What is one situation you are currently facing where you are struggling to trust God's understanding over your own? How can you actively release that situation into His hands today?
The faithful love of the Lord never ends; His mercies are new every morning. This unchanging character of God is the foundation for a hope that dares to believe for the impossible. Remembering His past faithfulness fuels your hope for the future. Because He is your inheritance, you can place your hope fully in Him, regardless of what you see. This hope is not passive; it actively anticipates God's goodness and speaks life into dead situations. [01:27:23]
But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:21-23 (ESV)
Reflection: As you reflect on this week, what specific goodness of God from your past can you "call to mind" to strengthen your hope for what you are believing Him for now?
Hope arises not as vague optimism but as the active presence of a kingdom inside every believer. The inner spirit does not come packaged with fear or timidity; it bears power, love, and self-control that can be cultivated by steady practices—Bible study, prayer, disciplined rhythms, and confident declarations. Darkness in the surrounding culture need not dictate the inner climate: the capacity of the human spirit can host either light or shadow, and the choices a person makes daily determine which kingdom expands. When faith becomes a practiced muscle rather than an occasional feeling, it rewrites imagination and expectation; the unseen begins to birth the seen as patience partners with persistent declaration.
Trust and active trustfulness stand at the center of a life that resists anxiety. Leaning on God’s understanding, rather than one’s own, opens the door to calm that surpasses natural comprehension and disarms the images fear projects. The biblical examples given show how fear paints false movies that captivate the heart, whereas faith rewires perception by speaking life over hard situations. The community of faith exists to introduce others to that internal kingdom—bringing resurrection power into hospital rooms, into relationships, and into daily routines—so that hope becomes contagious and visible. Ultimately, believing what God has said and practicing that belief through words and works invites God’s faithful character to move, bringing deliverance, healing, and steady courage in the midst of real trouble.
We're always waiting for God to do something that he's already done. When are you gonna activate this kingdom of God inside of you? When are you gonna be a resurrection power kind of Christian that sows, oh, you have a problem? I have the answer. I know what the word of god says. See, this word is inside of me. So, I will be extracting from the word of god.

So what are you extracting from within yourself? What kind of kingdom are you extracting from? Because I can tell. The bible tells me that by your fruits, you shall be known. So the way you speak and the way you act and whenever you choose fear and whenever you choose stress, I know which kingdom you're extracting from. It's not the kingdom of light. That's for sure.

The concept of the book of Job was that a man had everything he could ever want or need. Ruling his kingdom, he was ruling his kingdom amazingly and the Bible says that the thing that he fear has come upon him. So in Job three twenty five says, what I always fear has happened to me. What I dreaded has come true. I have no peace. I have no quietness. I have no rest. Only troubles come.

We gotta partner with something. Are we gonna partner with faith this year, or are we gonna partner with fear? It's a choice. We have a choice. Like I warned you earlier, we all have a choice in the matter. All of us, from pastors, from senior leaders, from elders, from every member here, from every child, from every adult, from whoever the youngest to the oldest, we all have a choice. Who are we gonna partner with?

When we're in our weakest point, when we're about to sin, when we're about to fall in temptation, sometimes we gotta come to a place and look at ourselves and said, I remember who I am. I remember whose I belong to. I remember what kingdom lives inside of me. I remember whose kingdom I'm part of. This kingdom has nothing missing, nothing broken, and nothing lacking. I remember.

See church, my own understanding has taken me to very dark places. My human understanding has led me to make a lot of poor choices. Even being a Christian, even being a pastor. When I relied on my own trust and my own understanding, I had failed. The kingdom of god was not so bright inside of me. Yes, I was carrying the kingdom of god but it was not bright.

Man, how beautiful it is and when trouble comes your way and darkness is all around you. How beautiful that you can say, man, Lord, I don't care what's happening. I wanna trust in you. That that will be the first thing that you extract from inside of you. Lord, it doesn't matter the bad news I hear. I'm gonna trust in you, father God.

So, he took him one night. He said, come on, Simba. I gotta show you something. He took him to a body of water and he said, Simba, look at yourself. Look at yourself and when he saw himself, he didn't see him. He saw his father behind him. He saw this big old lion. And he told him, remember who you are and remember who you belong to. Love that.
