Real life is the child of God in Christ, and pure life is Christ in the child of God. Pure life does not start with a person trying harder, because the first true thought is, “I can’t live a pure life.” Christ in the believer is the only way pure life becomes possible, and surrender is the way that life gets room to live.

First John 5:4 puts identity on the table before feelings get a vote. Whatever is born of God overcomes the world, and the victory that overcomes the world is faith. The believer’s identity is not broke, busted, disgusted, not the pain, not the suffering, and not the story of what happened. The believer’s identity is overcomer, one who achieves victory through faith.

The promise of God for 2026 says that willing and obedient people shall eat the best of the land. Trials and tribulations do not cancel that promise. Trials and tribulations prove what God has already put in His children. The valley shows that the overcomer is not an overcomer because everything feels good, but because the challenge tried to take that child out and could not.

Entitlement is exposed as a soul sickness that keeps people blaming everybody else. Upbringing, culture, and social constructs can mix with faith until faith gets watered down into skepticism. That kind of mixture keeps a person fighting with anger, mouth, hands, attitude, frustration, and restlessness. God uses the trial to teach another kind of fight, the fight of faith.

Hebrews 11 shows Enoch as a dedicated man whose testimony was that he pleased God. Faith is not just believing that God exists. Faith believes that God is everything needed in the valley and still enough on the mountaintop. Jesus must not be left in the valley once the blessing comes, because the blessing is not the point. Jesus is the point.

Romans 5 says problems and trials are good because they teach patience. Patience develops character, and character moves faith into trust and then into knowing the Lord. Correction is good because it helps a person be better, and God as a good Father will not feed pity parties when growth is needed.

Matthew 17 names unbelief as the reason the disciples could not cast out the demon. Unbelief is not only atheism, but skepticism toward God, His word, and His ways. Mustard seed faith is not big faith, but pure faith, faith that has not been mixed with other seeds. The mountain is bigger than human strength, but Jesus Christ is bigger than every mountain. Pure faith speaks to the mountain, lines words up with God’s word, and releases God’s power to move what could not be moved.
