"Lord, thank you for giving us a sense of humor, Lord, and these the next turn that we're making right now is a very serious one. And Lord, we just ask you to be with us and help us discern the voices that we're listening to. And Lord, I just ask that you would teach us what you want us to know from your scripture, from your word, through your word and through your Holy Spirit and through other teachers that you send." [00:06:51]

"Now, one of the things that I'd like to do this morning is equip you a little bit more. Maybe you already know all this stuff I'm about to teach, and maybe you don't. But we're about to go over the voice of Satan. We're about to go over how he is used in scripture to teach us who he is, his weapons that he has." [00:11:07]

"Satan is against God. Satan will use all means necessary to fool you, to deceive you, to get you to thinking that God doesn't have your best interests at heart. Satan is not on our side. Okay, now I'm going to go to the next place, and here's one of the biggies for me when I first learned of this, but we're going to go to Job." [00:07:44]

"Satan is standing in heaven, in front of the angels, in front of God, talking trash back to God. It's only because you bless him, it's only because you give him all the stuff that he's so faithful to you. If you take all that away, he's gonna curse you. So Satan is standing there, man, he's blasting Job, he's arguing with God." [00:09:17]

"Man, as much as I hate to say it, he's right. I did. When Patty got sick, I did curse God. I told him I would never worship a God like him. And so Satan's test for me, I failed it. I failed that test. Now, luckily, God's grace. God's grace is there. And that was like 1999 to about 2002, 2003, somewhere in there that I was shaking my fist." [00:12:57]

"Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. That one's hard to swallow. Why did the Spirit lead Jesus into the desert? To be tempted by the devil. I've come to understand why. He's the only one that passed the test. Job didn't pass the test. Eve didn't pass the test. Richard didn't pass the test." [00:14:25]

"The tempter came to him and said, If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread. Jesus answered, It is written, Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that came from the mouth of God. Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple." [00:15:10]

"If you're the son of God, he said, throw yourself down for it is written, he will command his angels concerning you and they will lift you up in their hands so that you will not strike your foot against the stone. Satan knows God's word. Satan knows God's word. Satan is using God's word to tempt Jesus. You think he'll use it to tempt you?" [00:16:39]

"Jesus said to him, away from me, Satan, for it is written, worship the Lord your God and serve him only. Then the devil left him and angels came and attended to him. So I mentioned this already, but I'm going to repeat it. All these situations where the Bible teaches us that Satan spoke, they're all tests. He's a tester." [00:17:56]

"We can take our failures to Jesus at the cross and say, I'm sorry I failed you I was wrong I need you we can also say this Satan just what Jesus said get out of here devil whenever you start hearing that voice it says well you're all alone nobody's gonna know that you click that button and watch those videos nobody's gonna know it." [00:19:16]

"That means we don't have to live in shame and condemnation for the tests that we failed. That Satan threw at us. We don't have to stay there. I mean, we could. I did for a long time myself. And sometimes I still bounce back into shame and guilt. But the freedom that he is talking about, the freedom that Jesus died for, is the freedom of our past." [00:29:32]

"Grace covers all those sins. Whatever tests you failed, dope, infidelity, drunkenness, hatred, robbery, lying, pornography, abortion, whatever it is that you have done that you fell short of God's standard, you're not alone. Every one of us have. Every one of us. The word of God says, all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." [00:31:12]
