#WheatAndWeedsTogether
“``Why does God allow the wheat and the weeds to grow together? You ever thought about that? Because if we're honest, we would rather, those slaves or servants, just rip all the weeds right out. Just get it done. But if God's will is to save you and me and everyone, this includes the weeds too. If God wants to save everyone, He's not just talking about the wheat that grows. He's also talking about the weeds.”

#WeedsCanBecomeWheat
“But if God sowed the seed, if God has the power to raise wheat in the middle of weeds, don't you think that God could also have the power to turn those weeds into wheat too? Or do we think that the the weeds that choke the word of God is just too powerful and so we have to just get rid of it as soon as we see it? Who's greater? Which power is stronger?”

#PreachRepentanceMission
“What's our job then? If God is the sower and he sows these good seeds and he's telling us to let everything grow, are we meant to kinda just sit back and do nothing? No. We have a job. We have a task. We have a mission. We have a mission to preach this gospel of repentance. God is telling us not to rip everything out, not to rip out every evil you see for fear of contamination. What is he saying? Preach the gospel of repentance so that all may be saved.”

#MercyAndJusticeTogether
“Or is God's mercy greater? I don't know about you, but we could have the longest list in the world. God's God's mercy is that much greater. We can think we have all the weeds in our our plot. God's power to cultivate is that much stronger. And it is a sign of his mercy and justice that he allows both the wheat and the weeds to grow together so that at the end of the age, his justice will shine through.”

#GodWantsToSaveUs
“God's will is to save you and me, and if we don't know that, then we miss everything of what Jesus says. If we don't understand the fact that God wants and desires to save you and for me, everything Jesus says in the gospels will make no sense. The parables in the gospel will make no sense if we don't understand that God's will is to save you and me.”

#UntangleNotRip
“And in a sense, no. God doesn't rip out, he untangles so that we can live in freedom. The point of every healing miracle in the gospels, the point of every healing that we experience here on earth, the point of every liberation we might experience from sin, from evil, is not so that we can live comfortable, it's so that we can come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved. And in coming into knowledge of the truth, being saved by that truth, we bring others too.”

#ConfessionChangedMe
“You're not gonna listen to me because I tell you and I teach you how to go to confession. You listen to me because I tell you I've gone to confession, I've experienced the great mercy of God. And I am a different man because of that mercy. Let alone a priest, let alone everything else that I am and everything else that I do. I'm a different man because I've experienced God's mercy. And I want you to experience that too.”

#AgentsOfMercy
“The point of every healing miracle in the gospels, the point of every healing that we experience here on earth, the point of every liberation we might experience from sin, from evil, is not so that we can live comfortable, it's so that we can come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved. And in coming into knowledge of the truth, being saved by that truth, we bring others too. May we be those agents, those preachers of the goodness and mercy of God, who is slow to anger and abounding in kindness, not because we come from a lofty throne or we consider ourselves wheat already. It's because we ourselves have been saved.”
